CPU is $165 for a 5800x (which is again equivalent to PS5 Pro), you can get a fine case for $60, mobo $120, 1tb SSD for $60, PSU for $40, 16GB RAM for $45. So that's $985 fo𝄹r a strictly specs equivalent machine, right now, based off top result on Google prices without shopping around. And honestly you don't need it, you could get the same end performance out of a cheaper card.

Christopher why would you need a stellar gaming PC to replace the PS5 or Series X, 4 year old consoles? A midrange PC can easily outperform them. I spent 1500 on mine, it was a prebu🌟ilt Alienware from Dell, and it EASILY doubles the performance of any console out there right now.

You can easily play PC games on your couch, with a controller. Fire up Steam Big Picture mode, and you even have a console-style dashboard. And both Xbox and PS5 controllers are plug-and-play, no setup needed. You can even configure a PC to run SteamOS and start up directly tꦕo gaming; it's not even difficult, you just need to know how to use a USB stick and prไess "Next" a few times.

It's been like this for years. Consoles, at this point, only sell because A: you know that ALL games you buy work with controllers, and B: people are averse to change and convince themselves (like you have) that PC gaming i🅷s so much different th🐲at you couldn't like it.
