Except that "shoving politics down people's throats" is a purely subjective measurement. And for many of this angry minority, any mention of trans people or the mere presence of a female protagonist is enough for tဣhem to claim the entire game is ruined -- because once they notice it (or their influencers decide to make it a rallying cry), then they can't *not* make a big deal about it.

But seriously, take a look at DA: Veilguard? The entire trans conversation that these "fans" complain about is all of 2 or 3 minutes in a 25-hour game. ♛You could easily miss it, if you don't make a big deal about trying to insult the trans character, and it has no major impact on the gameplay or larger story.

The real issue is that these "fans" are following the marching or💟der of a bunch of reactionary grifters who are teꩵlling them which games to be angry about. And they're doing this to push their own political agenda down the entire industry's throat.
