Why Did Nobody Tell Me About Black Myth: Wukong's Invisible Wall Problem
The problem is actually commonly complained on steam. The designers aren't experienced enough to design game scenes as intuitive as dark souls. They randomly place invisible walls everywhere as if there is no consensus among level designers and scene designers. If invisible walls are widely used in games, a mini map is needed to indicate where invisible walls are. No mini map, then no invisible walls, th꧒is is the core of level design in soul like games. Game science failed to realize the design concept in wukong.
There are other fatal problems like contradictory combo system. Wukong adopts the combo system of Bayonetta, which is called Offset Combo. ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚBut they abandoned Witch Time from Bayonetta, and that renders Offset combo system useless. Because without Witch Time, the hit rate of the final combo is really low while the risk of taking damage is way too high. This contradictory combo system refღlects the lack of experience in designing games of Game Science.
