The very first game thaꦡt came to mind while I was playing Veilguard was Shadow Of Mordor as well. I agree with your reasoning, but I also found the issue with combat in Veilguard to be the same issue Shadow Of Mordor had. Once you find the rhythm for the fighting style you choose every single fight after that, no matter how large or small, is a thoughtless rinse and repeat. Unfortunately that quickly becomes boring and Veilguard is such a watered down facsimile of the prior dragon age games that graphics and combat were about all I enjoyed.

I don't see many review bombs, although I am sure they are interspersed among the moderate and negative reviews. I have tried 3 rooks so far and the dialog is as uninspired and flat as the comba♕t system. It really is a shame as I wanted to enjoy this.
