You're absolutely right. I wasn't going to buy Veilguard at all, but a friend got it for me for Christmas. If I'd been buying it myself, I would have waited until it was at least 50% off. Same with Civ 7 - it'll be many months and Steam sales before it's on sale enough for me. I do the same thing with Assassin's Creed. I've never pa🧸id full prౠice for one of those games and as interested as I am in Shadows, I won't be buying it on day one either. These days, games are never as good as their day one prices lead me to hope.
