I wish I had pre-ordered in person a𝓡s well. And.. I did! It was a good time. Wait was only about an hour and I🉐 was with friends, plus lots of people in line were very nice. Some lady from a local bakery came over and gave cookies to everyone, too.

Yes. Absolutely. You mention this like there isn't anything worth owning or playing day one. I bought the original Switch day one and I didn't regret it and it had 5 retail launch titles. 1, 2 Switch, Breath of the Wild, Super Bomberman R, Skylanders Imaginators and Just Dance 20🍃17.

By comparison, Switch 2 has nearly 5 times that and a number of them ARE new. And even if they aren't brand new, it doesn't mean they aren't worth owning and hugely desirable. Mario Kart World is enough to keep me busy for months most likely and I'm super ex൲cited to play it day one. But beyond that, I also can't wait to give Tears of the Kingdom and possibly Breath of the Wild another go (and free at that with NSO). Just those three games could keep me busy the rest of the year.

But.. I also probably will pick up Yakuza 0 as it's one of🧸 my all-time favorite games and I want the new Director's Cut version. I also haven't gotten Split Fiction yet and I'd rather have it portably. Plus I'm a big Story of Seasons/Rune Factory fan, so I will probably get Guardians of Azuma as well. I also adore the OG Game Boy Survival Kids so maybe the new one is worth it. And I love Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, so maybe that's worth a look with the new꧒ version.

However.. even if I just bought Mario Kart World and enjoyed the freebies (the GameCube games, Tears and Breath), that's WAY more than enough to tide me over to the ꦐsecond unmissable title, Donkey Kong Bananza, which is coming out the very next month. And to me, like Mario Kart World, is one of the games I'm most excited for in gaming, hands down. Odyssey is a top three of all time game for me and Bananza looks PHENOMENAL. It's not like the sysꦡtem will be cheaper a month after launch, so why would I wait? If anything, with US tariffs, it might cost more after launch. Your argument is invalid.
