If th💫ey wanted to to make a new g🍷ame, they shouldve made a new series.

This game is nothing like the direction doom has been taking, and is in bad taste for i✨ts future. Shouldve made a new ip, or at least make this new direction a decent 🍬experience. Gameplay is hot trash and has gimmick levels throughout. Mech levels were fun, but dragon level is too gimmicky for me... halfway through the game but I dont see any indication of it getting better

Thanks for this take, I really resonate with it! I absolutely loved Doom Eternal and all the other doom games (except doom 3) so I bought the collectors edition of the dark ages. But it turned out, this might be a dark age for the series... I don't mind the combat ideas in the dark ages, its ok for them to have a new take... but they implemented it badly. They could've done so many things to make it feel more enjoyable, like sprinting while strafing, or anything like that... but if they wanna have gameplay like that, then fine... just make sure I feel bad ass... except i feel they messed that u﷽p too. Way too many cutscenes, everything feels like Ray tracing garbage, and the cutscenes just aren't that good... I'm halfway through and compared to 2016, 9 years ago? Nothing. The intro to that game was iconic, same with eternal. You woke up in 2016 and its the part I remember most in the game, it w🦋as just so memorable... I don't even remember how the dark ages starts and I've only just started, what, a couple weeks ago??

This game is riddled with bugs, too. I contacted bethesda support to submit a bug report but I noticed I could only attach for files, and I had 50+ reports to list out... so I only attached 4 and asked them for where I can post the rest. I then realised they can't respond to feedback, so I submitted a ticket, linked my feedback report a🦩nd asked for where I could submit a large amo🀅unt of bugs.

They closed it within a day without a response as a "duplicate" (I suppose that's kind of fair if they didn't pay any attention whatsoever), and I m𒁏ade another report asking for a response and not linking my previous ticket or reporꦑts. That was 8 days ago, still waiting.

Like the game, a horrible experience. And don't get me started on the bugs, there are floating squadrons all over the dragon level♔, as well as terrain without collision, floating fires, random ass stuff everywhere... and the gameplay of that level sucked too, just a damn rhythm game at that point
