Personally I have enjoyed the show. The bar was raised 💙very high with the original film trilogy. Not even the Hobbit could ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚcome close to Jackson's original stab at Tolkien- and he directed the Hobbit.

I've written elsewhere that protracted TV dramas are difficult. They have a lot of airtime to fill and ♕therefore the dialogue will come under closer scrutiny.

Crucially, as Jackson found with the Hobbit, there is less material b𓂃y the great Author to work🔯 with as well. All the money and CGI in the world cannot make a great production without a great narrative.

Some people did hate upon the Rings of Power because of the d🥂iverse cast, forgetting that Tolkien wrote about the men of the East.

I hate to break it to people but despite Tolkien's obsession with the Anglo🃏 -Saxons which provides 🍰an ethno context to his works, he also included Elves, Orks, Giants, Trolls and Wizards. I'm quite sure that such creatures never existed in the middle ages or in any era of the planet's existence.

Tolkien may not have considered the fact that the earlier con൩querors of England, the Romans, had quite a diverse army and that Spain was Muslim throughout the period of history which influenced his writing, but any dramatic spin off to his works can surely justify a nod to the ethnic diversity of 'middle eart🦋h'?
