It's great to see the voice cast of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Spider-Man and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man: Miles Morales return for Insomniac's latest game. Having Yuri Lowenthal, Nadji Jeter, and Laura Bailey voice Peter, Miles, and Mary Jane for multiple games really helps establish continuity, and set the world of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Spider-Man 2 apart from all the other Spider-Verses we've seen over the years. But, as a fan of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Midnight Suns, the real highlight has been hearing Lowenthal in the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2 after spending dozens of hours hanging out with him in Firaxis' excellent 2022 tactics game.

And I do mean hanging out. Though I initially got to know the character by playing as him in Marvel's Spider-Man, this version of Peter Parker didn’t become a pal until I spent a dozen late nights kicking it with him in Midnight Suns. The RPG put equal emphasis on combat and catching up with my teammates, so after returning from a battle, I often spent time watching movies or fishing or sitting at the bar with Spidey, building a relationship that extended beyond the battlefield. It's cool to see Lowenthal get the chance to develop his take on Spider-Man in several different outings (including 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, which I missed)🍸, each allowing different facet꧙s of the character to emerge.

Does Spider-Man 2's story take p🐠lace over a month, a week, or a day?

One actor playing the same comic book character across multiple stories isn't new. Kevin Conroy began voicing Bruce Wayne for Batman: The Animated Series in 1992 and gave life to the Caped Crusader across dozens of projects in film, TV, and video games over the course of three decades. As much as I like Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson in the role, I have a special attachment to Conroy that comes from hearing him as Batman in Mask of the Phantasm as a child, in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Arkham Asylum as a teen, and posthumously in the trailer for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Suicide Squad: Kill💮 the Justice League as an adult. Though Lowenthal began playing Peter Parker when I was much older, I’m beginning to feel a touch of that connection now that he's shown up in multiple games I enjoy, portraying a character that I’ve loved since I was a kid.

Now, as I play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, I’m carrying the experiences I had with Peter Parker in Midnight Suns🎐 into the game. I may have saved New York with Peter in the first game, but I saved the universe with him in Midnight Suns. As he spends time with Miles, Mary Jane, and Harry Osborn, I’m thinking about all the time he was kept away from this life while we were holed up in the Sanctum, plotting how to stop Lilith in Midnight Suns.

The games don’t share a continuity — none of the Marvel games have to fit in with any of the others and given how difficult games are to make and how long they take to develop it would be incredibly hard to shoehorn the work of different teams into one world. I wouldn’t want them to either. After 15 years of the MCU, I’m sick of shared universes, and trying to implement a Marvel Interactive Universe would likely just result in less interesting games that are serving two masters — their own creative goals which might be at odds with the broader ambitions of the universe. 𒀰No, seeing Lowenthal𒁃 show up in both games is as much as I want. Let players fill in the gaps.
