It delivers sweet, serene tracks that feel like a hug goodbye to this beloved cast; the Bionis Shoulder themes evoke a comforting grandeur, and while no track stands out as an all-time banger, the score is consistently lovely and tonally appropriate.

That little number aside, the original Xenoblade also introduced us to soaring anthems like “Engage the Enemy” and “Gaur Plain.” It captures the grandeur of gods and l🦹eviathans while remaining intimately human; hey, just like the story! The Definitive Edition’s remastered tracks also breathe new life into classic pieces, even if they don’t dramatically reimagine them. Satorl Marsh sure comes out sounding better, iꦑf nothing else.

An all-star cast of composers, Yasunori Mitsuda, ACE+, Kenji Hiramatsu, and Manami Kiyota, brought this one to life. From orchestral set pieces to folksy ballads, it swings for the fences and usually lands: the hustle and bustle of the A🍃rgentum Trade Guild, the jaunty vale of Torigoth, the desolate plains of Mor Ardain, the frigid tundras of Tantal. You'll be immersed from the very first note, and the game even has a stab at topping "You Wil𝄹l Know Our Names," with... "You Will Recall Our Names." Clever!
