Microsoft does not have a shining diamond exclusive to mirror that of Sony's Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games. Such was its success on the PS4 that Sony purchased the studio making it a subsidiary in 2019, meaning that Spidey fans will likely need a Sony console if they want to play as the Marvel hero in the future.

That said, there are still plenty of solid Xbox games — third-pꦐarty and exclusive — that fit the idea of what a superhero game should be. Some might be stretches, but they embody what it is to be a superhero in a video game. All of these titles are available on the main Xbox consoles.

18 Deadpool

Before the Ryan Reynolds movies, the Deadpool action game helped introduce a lot of non-comic fans to the loud-mouth merc. It's a hack-and-slash title where you use melee weapons and guns to take out large groups of enemies. Yet, while the combat is solid, it isn't the best thing about the game.

The best thing is the hum🍰or, as Deadpool says and does all sorts of outrageous things throughout the story. There is plenty of crudeness and creativity when it comes to the gags. There is also a lot of fourth-wall breaking, as this is Deadpool, after all.

17 🎶 Batman: Arkham🃏 Knight

Arkham Knight is the last main entry in the Arkham series. In this one, Batman has some health problems due to the Joker's blood in his veins. Yet, he must keep it together to stop Scarecrow and the new villain, The Arkham Knight. Like the other titles in the series, it proves to be a compelling and well-written tale.

As for the combat and stealth mechanics, they're both smooth and very satisfying. It helps that you have a range of fancy gadgets that keep things interesting, even after completing the litany of side content in the game.

16 X-Men Orig▨ins: Wolverine -🌃 Uncaged Edition

There have been plenty of bad games based on good movies. X-Men Origins: Wolverine flips things around. It's a really good game based on a not-so-great movie. The game doesn't follow the exact events of the film, as it's more of an original tale. However, it's not a very story-heavy title anyway.

The appeal of this game is how enjoyable it feels to control Wolverine. Using your signature claws, you're encouraged to brutalize the litany of enemies you face throughout the game. It's very gory, and some of your moves are visually spectacular.

15 ꦰ Gotham Knights

It's rare to take a trip into Gotham City without Batman. But in Gotham Knights, you can't bring him along as he's dead. In his stead, it's down to Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin, and Nightwing to look after the city.

This serves as the basic premise of an engaging story about the Bat Family going against the Court Of Owls without their leader. The Court isn't the only people terrorizing Gotham, though. You also need to stop all the other major rogues and small-time criminals in this enjoyable action-adventure game.

14 Saints Row 4: Re-Ele🐼cted

When on missions, you participate in cleverly designed turn-based battles that involve plenty of strategy and superpowers. Outside of battle, you roam around the hub world, speaking and hanging out with y🎃our allies to build your relationships with them.

12 Guardians Of The Galaxy꧒

Guardians of the Galaxy is an action-adventure game where the titular team must attempt to save the galaxy from an impending catastrophe. The story is filled with exciting moments and humourous dialogue. However, not everything is funny in this title, as there is plenty of depth to the characters, which leads to some moreᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ truly emotional moments.

The fact the game can make you laugh out loud or cry on plenty of different occasions shows how well-written it is. The action-adventure combat isn't bad, either. You control Starlord and make use of your twin blasters while barking orders at your teammates to use their powers.

11 Batman: A Tellt꧂ale Series - Shadows Edition

After playing Rocksteady's Arkham games, jumping into Telltale's Batman series may seem a little jarring. As an episodic graphic adventure series, Telltale's Batman is entirely focused on the narrative with occasional quick-time events, but your choices will change the outcome of the story.

The Shadows Edition combines the first Telltale Batman game released in 2016 and 2017's The Enemy Within. It's the latter that is a better game, however, with more meaningful choices, a better script full of twists and surprises, and a fantastic portrayal of The Joker.

10 Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series🧸

Released in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy by Telltale is a♉nother graphic adventure game 😼like their Batman and Walking Dead series that focuses on story over action. Once again, player choices are meaningful and can change the outcome of certain story events.

As with the 2021 action game from Square Enix, this game's story isn't connected to the MCU but has a more comic-book feel. The character designs and animations won't wow fans of the team, but the story remains intriguing and offers some genuine surprises throughout its five-episode adventure.

9 Batman: 🎀Return To Arkham𝔉

The entirety of the Batman: Arkham games are available to play on the Xbox. While Batman: Arkham City is from the previous generation, it is the best among the three 𓂃primary games.

This collection comes withꦚ Arkham City and its predecessor, Arkham Asylum. The former is an open-world Batman game that did the license justice like no video game adaptation before it, offering exhilarating combat, a good story, and tons of nods fans will enjoy.
