World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King expansion saw the addition of a nice number of new reputations to farm, which means more quartermasters with nice rewards to attain. Among the new reputations added in WotLK are the Oracles, a race of gorlocs (evolved murloc꧙s) located in Sholazar Basin.
With that in mind, the Oracle🔥s are one of two primary reputations in Sholazar Basin, the other being the wolvar of the Frenzyheart Tribe. These two factions are in a heated war with one another, so when choosing to ally yourself with one, you make the other your sworn enemy. In other words, you may only progress one of these two reputations at a time, and꧙ cannot be Exalted with both at the same time.
Unlocking The Oracle’s Reputation
In order to unlock the Oracle’s reputation, there is a long quest chain (shared by both factions) you need to get through. The quest that kick-starts this journey is “The Part-time Hunter,” which is followed by “Playing Along.”
From here, you’ve got 13 quests to do for the Frenzyheart Tribe to experience their side (even if you’re choosing the Oracles, you still need to progress this part o💎f the quest chain), then 13 quests to do for t🔴he Oracles to experience their side.
After completing all those quests, you get the quest “A Hero’s Burden”, and that makes it decision time: you either kill the Frenzyheart NPC, Zepik the Gorloc Hunter, or the Oracle NPC, Jaloot. Thus, in order to start your journey toward becoming exalted with the Oracles, you must kill Zepik the Gorloc Hunter.
After this series ༒of events, you will already be Honored with the Oracles.
Increasing Your Reputation to Exalted
Once you’ve completed the initial, lengthy quest chain that introduces you to the Oracles (and the Frenzyheart Tribe), there is, unfortunately, no fast way to grind out the rest of their reputation from Honored to Exalted. All you can do is complete the three daily quests. There are no mobs or dungeons or raids that you can farm to gr𒈔ind out the repu♏tation in one day.
There are eight total dailies in the daily quest pool, so you won’t get the same three every single day (though it is random, so you actually might get the same three back-to-back). Some reward 250 reputation and some reward 350 reputation, and some really need flying in order to complete🅘. Either way, let’s take a brief look at each of the dailies you can get.
If you don’t have flying unlocked, you can pay a visit to “Honest” Max, a goblin residing in K3 in Storm Peaks. He can give you a free mount usable in Sholazar Basin (and Storm Peaks and Icecrown). T⛄hese mounts fly at 60 percent flight speed.

Reward |
A Cleansing Song |
This is a simple quest that doesn’t require flying, but would certainly go faster if you have it. All you need to do is use the Chime of Cleansing in three designated spots to summon the three spirits and kill them. |
250 reputation |
Appeasing The Great Rain Stone |
This quest requires you to find six Shiny Treasures. With the help of one of the Oracles, look in the quest area for glinting sparkles. Go to the locat💫ion where you saw the sparkle and the Oracle that you chose as your helper will dig up the treasure for you to loot. |
250 reputation |
Song Of Fecundity |
You’re going to need flying for this one, as you need to make your way to Stormwright’🐼s Shelf. That said, this is a super simple daily. All you need to do is play the Horn of Fecundity near eight piles of Soaked Fertile Dirt. |
250 reputation |
Song Of Reflection |
You’re going to need flying for this one too, but a♛s with Song of Fecundity, this daily is super simple. All you need to do is use the Didgeridoo of Contemplation atop each of the four pillars across Sholazar Basin. |
250 reputation |
Song Of Wind And Water |
This is the last one that requires flying (back to Stormwright’s Shelf for this one), but contrary to the other two that also require flying, this one isn’t as simple. In order to devour the three Storm Revenants and three Aqueous Spirits, you first need to use the Drums of the Tempest to become Haiphoon, the Great Tempest. You will begin as a water elemental, and as such, you need to devour a Storm Revenant (you cannot simply kill it). Weaken the desired Storm Revenant with your abilities, then when it’s low enough, devour it. This will turn you into an air elemental, and you will need to find an Aqueous Spirit to devour. As before, weaken it with your abilities, then devour it when it’s low enough. This will transform you back into a water elemental. Rinse and repeat this process until you’ve devoured three of each type. |
250 reputation |
Mastery Of The Crystals |
T🐼his is your typical “kill a bunch of X” quest. While you can grab the crystal defenses at Sparktouched Haven, you don’tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ need to. Just kill fifty wolvar of the Frenzyheart Tribe, and you’re golden. |
350 reputation |
Power Of The Great Ones |
Like the case with Mastery of the Crystals, this is another “kill a bunch of X” quest. Again, while you can charge up the crystal at the top of the pillar (you don’t need flying; there’s a path to the top), you don’t need to. Kill thirty wolvar. |
350 reputation |
Will Of The Titans |
The third and final “kill a b🧔unch of X” quest can potentia♒lly be a vehicle quest like Song of Wind and Water. If you want to, grab a Tainted Crystal, bring it to the Great Lightning Stone, charge it up, and call forth Soo-holu. That said, you don’t have to do this, and you can just kill fifty wolvar yourself. |

Mysterious Egg |
Revered |
After a seven-day incubation period, Mysterious Egg can drop one of four companion pets (Proto-Drake Whelp, Cobra Hatchling, Tickbird Hatchling, White Tickbird Hatchling), the coveted Reins of the Green Proto-Drake, or a simple Aged Yolk. You only have a six percent chance of getting the mount, while comparatively, you have a whopping thirty-one perceꦡnt chance of gettingꩲ the Aged Yolk, so be prepared to grind (unless the gods of RNG are on your side).
The Mysterious Egg is a unique item, so you may only carry one of these in your bag at a time. Admittedly, this is a bit annoying, considering you have to wait a whole week for it to become a Cracked Egg and openable. However, it only requires that you 💫be Revered with the Oracles to purchase, so at least you don’t have to wait until you’re Exalted to start the luck-grind.
