EA and Koei Tecmo's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wild Hearts is a hunting action game with many similarities to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter series that many fans have eagerly anticipated.168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Monster Hunter Rise, the most recent entry in the Monster Hunter series, never had as much popularity as its predecessor 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter: World, but has been gaining more due to its ava𓃲ilability 🉐on more platforms.
But between Wild Hearts and Monster Hunter Rise, which game is better? Does Capcom's long-running series still manage to outdo the competition, or does Wild Hearts do enough to make even the biggest Monster Hunter fans switch over to it?
10 Wild Hearts: Fast🐟er, More Fluid Combat 𓃲
While combat in the Monster Hunter series has stayed relatively rigid despite new weapon and mechanic additions, Wild Heart's combat feels a bit faster and more fluid, despite having a few similar weapon types. Wild Hearts also features no tedious weapon sharpening or item switching, so the combat is able to flow better without much interruption.
Another feature it has over Monster Hunter Rise is that you don't have to go to a specific area or fight monsters to test out new weapons, although the latter is still an option. Instead, wooden Kemono statues spread throughout the world meant for testing weapons.
9 Wi🔴ld Hearts: Karakuri
A feature unique to Wild Hearts is the ability to create Karakuri, various tools and devices built from Karakuri Threads collected from the surrounding environments. In earlier gameplay footage, this brought up many Fortnite comparisons, but there are some key differences.
Karakuri can be used for traversal, combat, or other things like setting up camp or making a forge. In combat, Karakuri can help you perform various jumping and movement-focused attacks and block charging Kemono. Combined with the fluid usage of Wild Hearts' weapons, Karakuri can allow you to perform devastating combos to weaken your enormous foes, giving combat more variety.
8 💯 Monster Hunter Rise: Wirebug
Monster Hunter Rise may not have Karakuri, but it does have the Wirebug. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wirebugs are insects that hunters can use for easier ওtraversal or combat, as they allow the hunter to perform various grappling actions from certain distances🤪.
In combat, hunters can use Wirebugs to pe🐈rform different Silkbind attacks depending on their weapon. Wirebugs also help hunters mount and ride monsters that have been knocked down, allowing them to cause additional damage for a brief amount of time. More advanced hunters can effortlessly combine their Wirebug and weapon usage, performing impressive flashy combo moves.
7 ▨ Wild Heaꦺrts: Tsukumo
Tsukumo are small autonomous Karakuri you can befriend in Wild Hearts that can assist you in many ways. Tsukumo can join you in attacking Kemono with their Attack Form, use themselves as bait to lure and distract Kemonꦇo in their Defense Form, heal you in their Assist Form, and give you extra Karakuri Threads in their Threader Form.
Different Tsukumo are found throughout the world and can all be renamed and upgraded to fit your needs. If you don't like the stats of a Tsukumo or messed up while upgrading, you can reset that Tsukumo's stats by spending a specific amount of Kemono orbs based on how much you upgraded the Tsukumo already.
6 💖 Monster Hunter Rise: Palicoes And Palamutes ♛
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Palicoes, the felyne sidekicks often seen accompanying hunters on their quests, have been around since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and are still present in Monster Hunter Rise. The game also adds a new canyne sidekick and mount 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:through the Palamute, which can be ridden for faster traversa꧋l and even ridden in combat.
In the single-player mode of Monster Hunter Rise, you can bring one Palico and one Palamute with you on each quest. You create the first you receive of each after you've created your character and can hire additional ones through the Buddy Scout Services, which you can then send on Buddy Recon missions to different areas for gathering additional materials.
5 🃏 Monster Hunter Rise: More People Can Play Together 𝄹
Whereas Wild Hearts can only have up to three players in a quest together, Monster Hunter Rise can have up to four players participating in quests together, a feature that has been present since the fiꦓrst Monster Hunter on PlayStation 2, although it has vastly improved since then. When online, each player must also decide whether they want one of their Palicoes or Palamutes to join them.
Whil🌞e multiplayer being limited to a group of three instead of four is unfortunate, especially when in a group of friends with four or more people, there are some things Wild Hearts has that the Monster Hunter series lacks when it comes to multiplayer.
4 ⛎ Wild Hearts: Crossplay
Unlike Monster Hunter Rise, Wild Hearts has crossplay between all the platforms it has launched on. This means you don't have to worry about your friends getting it on a different platform than you since you'll still be able to play together.
Due to a more open quest structure, Wild Hearts also gives you the choice of having friends join you for a specific quest or joining your game session in general, meaning you can get through the story together if you desire as long as you've both turned on Guest Story Progression. If you don't have friends to join you, you can also request assistance when hunting specific monsters by clicking their icon on the map.
3 ꦕ Monster Hunter Rise: Better Overall Performance ဣ
One issue many have noticed with Wild Hearts, despite how enjoyable it can be, is that there are performance issues in every version. For some, these minor issues will likely be patch🎃ed up easily. For others, particularly those playing on PC, it can range from playable but flawed to completely unplayable.
Monster Hunter Rise has had more time to improve since it has been around longer, so hopefully, Wild Hearts will as well. Still, if you're sensitive to performance issues or primarily play games on PC, you should wait a while before you start hunting Kemono in Wild Hearts.
2 🍸 Monster 🎃Hunter Rise: More Content
Since Monster Hunter Rise has been out for a while, it has a lot more content than Wild Hearts. This includes the Sunbreak expansion, which 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:adds new monsters and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some returning ones, new weapons and armor sets, a new story, and new areas to hunt monsters and gather materia🐟l✅s.
It has been claimed future content for Wild Heartsꦰ will be free, similar to the additional content for Monster Hunter Rise except for Sunbreak, so only time will tell if it will be as substantial as many of the content updates Monster Hunter Rise has received since its initial 2021 Nintendo Switch launch.
1 Conclusion: It Depends On What You're Looking For
It's difficult to decide if one game is better, as Monster Hunter Rise is from an ongoing series, while Wild Hearts is a new IP that still has much to prove. That said, Monster Hunter Rise may be the better option for a bigger group of friends playing on the same platform.
On the other hand, if only three people in your group are interested in Wild Hearts and you all play ඣgames on different platforms, it may be the better option. Wild Hearts may also be the better choice for newcomers, while Monster Hunter Rise is preferable if you want more content. Luckily, depending on the platform, you can try each game before buying them.*
Wild Hearts has a 10-hour trial on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PCဣ via EA Play. Monster Hunter Rise has a de🦋mo on Nintendo Switch and Steam and may be available on Game Pass.
