I’m desperately craving more Fallout after finishing the first season of Amazon’s new series. It’s a nearly flawless adaptation that left me wanting more, especially after the New Vegas Strip is teased in the finale&rsqu🐲o;s final shot.

I’ve been staring at my Steam library all d😼ay and I’m torn about which game to play. If you’re here you probably are too, so let’s see if we can figure out toge♌ther.

Fallout 3♑ launched during my freshman year of college and swept through my dorm like a nuclear blast. It was a phenomenon that took over my life and led to at least two people on my floor flunking out the first semester. Against all odds, I survived. Fallout 3 is my second-most revisited game in the series after New Vegas, which came out two years later and remains one of my top💝 ten all-time favorite games. I’ve played it to death, but hey, I could always play it again.

The end of Fallout's first season gets nice anওd cozy ♐with the games, but what does that mean for season two's story?

Fallout 4 did not hit the same for me when it launched in 2015, and I know I’m not the only one. I’ve only played through it once and I never touched the expansions. It’s probably worth revisiting now, but the base-building stuff turned me off, and I was disappointed by how simplified the dia♒logue trees became after New Vegas did so much to elevate the role-playing aspect of this RPG.

Fallout 76 was an even bigger disappointment for me, and the one-two punch of Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 explains why I haven’t thought much about the series the last few years. I’m big into live service games like Destiny 2, and the idea of Fallout with friends sounded great, but the co-op experience leaves a lot to be desired, and the empty world eliminates a lot of what I lꩵike about Fallout. I know it’s changed a lot over the years, including the introduction of NPCs, so it might be worth another shot.

Fallout: Factions, a new tabletop skirmish game from Modiphius, will release sometime this year. The starter set is called Battle For Nuka-World and features three raider factions from the eponymous DLC. Check out 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:our interview with its designer, Games Workshop veteran James Hewitt.

Then there’s the original Fallout, which incidentally has the biggest connections to the TV show. I’ve dabbled in OG Fallout a couple times over the years and could never get🌄 a handle on its archaic controls and menus. It and Fallout 2 might be a little too old school for my taste, but I’ll admit there is something alluring about starting at the beginning and working my way through the whole series. I🔯’d probably get done just in time for season two.

I know I won’t be starting with Brotherhood of Steel or Tactics. They might be interesting to explore from a completionist perspective, but I’m craving Fallout right now, notཧ the oddball spin-offs. Crossing these off the list helps narrow things down a bit, but not by much.

While New Vegas is my favorite, I’ll get more enjoyment by playing it right before season two comes out. The next season is going to take place at least partially in New Vegas some 15 years after the events of the game, and it’ll be great🙈 to revisit the Strip right before seeing the TV show version, hopefully next year.

If I hadn’t already played Fallout 3 many times over, that would definitely be the best place to start. While it’s bound to show its age, Nexus Mods has a well-regarded HD Overhaul that will give t꧋he game a nice facelift. If you’re not already well-versed in Fallout, I recommend starting here.

For me, it’s down to either Fallout 4 or Fallout 76, so the real question is whether I can convince my friends to go on a Fallout 76 journey with me. It’s never clicked with us before, but maybe there’s enough in it now that it will pull us in. If I’m on my own though, then it’s finally time to give Fallout 4 a second shake. Maybe it’s finally time to find out what’s going on in the Pacific Northwest. I’m taking a wild guess🎃 here, but I bet the crabs are huge.
