On August 28, 1993, children all across America were blown away by the premiere of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. It probably shouldn't have been as popular as it was. Half the show was reused footage from the Japanese superhero show Super Sentai, and the other half consisted of bland actors delivering corny jokes. The show also received a lot of criticism from fearful parents and moral guardians who believed the show's violence was warping children's m💫inds.

Somehow, the show became an international success, spawning tons of toys and merchandise, as well as spin-off shows that continue to this day, with Ninja Steel being the current iteration of the franchise. The franchise has become so popular, in fact, that a full-length feature film based on the original series was released last year. After the release of the Power Rangers movie, many fans of the live-action superhero show went back to the original shows to relive 🐈some nostalgic memories.

The first thing everyone noticed was that .

The second thing some people noticed, though, were certain jokes or aspects of the shows that seemed to be aimed at a particularly older audience. Today we're going to be taking a look at 25 inappropriate jokes, lines and moments from the Power Rangers franchise. We're going to be taking a look at moments from the entire franchise, from the original Mighty Morphin' years to modern shows like Dino Charge and Megaforce. Now let's dive right into all the raunchy💃🐟 humor and disturbing implications you missed the first time around!

25 The Freudian Monstౠer From Your Subconscious 🐈

In the Mighty Morphin' season 2 episode "Bloom of Doom," Zedd casts a spell on Kimb🐼erly that turns her against her best friend Trini. He then sends down a poisonous plant monster, the titular Bloom of Doom, who attacks and traps Kimberly in a strange dimension. Trini rescues Kimberly and the other Power Rangers put a stop to Bloom of Doom, and Kimberly learns a valuable lesson about jealousy. Rewatching th♚is episode as an adult, you might notice something strange about the monster.

It's sorta like those flowers Georgia O'Keefe painted.

They seemed perfectly innocent at first, until someone noticed they looked a little too... feminine. Granted, this one might be a stretch, and it's not like the kids are going to notice it, but once you've gone through healtꦬh class, some people can't help but notice ♉the strange resemblance.

In "Mystic Fate," the two-part season finale to Mystic Force, the Power Rangers prepare to fight the main villain of the season, Oct𝐆omus the Master. Before that climactic final battle, though, there is some dissention among the villain's ranks. Some of the villains question if they're fighting for the right side. One of the doubters is Necrolai, Queen of the Vampires and mother of Leelee, a f🌃riend of the Power Rangers.

Once she finally does decide to turn against her Master, she exhausts her powers and reverts to human form. Upon seeing the gorgeous lady, Xander exclaims "" What really pushes this, though, is Vida's (Pink Mystic Ranger) reaction, w🌟ho nods enthusiastically while wearing the biggest grin on her face. This, in addition to the fact that Necrolai had briefly turned Vida into a vampire earlier in the season, probably inspired quite a bit of fanfic.

23 🔴 ⛎ Touched By A Power Ranger

In the Mighty Morphin' season 2 episode "Lights, Camera, Action," the Power Rangers decide to take some notes from Sesame Street and Bill Nye the Science Guy and throw their hat into the educational television ring by appearing on a talk show. Zedd realizes that won't bring in ratings, though, so he turns a TV camera into the evil Showbiz Monster, ensuring the Power Rangers stick to their regular fantasy violence shtick. At one point, while the Power Rangers are in their civilian forms, Rocky is asked about his 💃opinion of the Power Rangers.

He responds, "They really reached out and touched me!"

Now this is obviously just an innocent line, but what sells it is the sly look he gave to 𝕴Adam right before he said it. Steve Cardenas knew exactly what he was saying, and we love him fꦏor it.

In the Mighty Morphin' season 1 finale "An Oyster Stew," Zack tries to impress a girl on her birthday by taking her to dinner and getting her a special present: a pair of pearl earrings. Rita Repulsa decides to pull a switcheroo and Zack gives her the Pearls of Stillness, which freeze everyone in sight, including most of the Power Rangers. With Tommy and Zack bein♏g the only ones left, they have to work together to break the spell and stop the Oysterizer⛎.

The Oysterizer is another strange looking monster. He's supposed to be based off an oyster, but he's strangely pink and fleshy looking. What's more, one of his main attacks is to shoot pink goo at the Rangers. Yeah, its supposed to be "acidic gel," but still, the guys from Zyuranger came up with some pretty questionable monsters.

In the Mighty Morphin' season 3 episode "Follow that Cab!," Kimberly finds💖 out that a world-famous gymnastics coach is𒁏 coming to Angel Grove and he's looking for a new gymnast. She decides to meet him, and Bulk and Skull tag along because sure, why not? Zedd and Rita see this as the perfect opportunity to capture the Pink Ranger and turn the cab they're riding in into the Crabby Cabbie (no relation to the ).

While the Power Rangers are trying to figure out a way to stop the monster without destroying their kidnapped friends, Tommy tries to get through to them so they can give a sign that they're still okay. Kim lets out a shriek, to which Tommy responds by saying he🎐's glad he can make Kim scream. You might want to keep the details of your relationship private, Tommy.

20 A Seduc🐓tive Plant

via: RangerWiki

In the Power Rangers Ninja Storm episode "Nowhere to Grow," Cam (a friend of the Rangers) has grown tired of being their "mission contro🌠l/guy at a computer" and tries to play a more active role in their latest adventure: defeating a new plant-based monster. Unfortunately, he just ends up getting in their way and learns that he's a greater help to the Rangers by doing what he's actually good at.

The weirdest part about this episode is the plant monster herself.

She isn't suggestively shaped, but her dialogue is definitely questionable for a kid's show. Throughout the episode she mꩲoans seductively and says some suggestive lines, like when she tells her plants to "Grow baby grow." It almost sounds like someone mixed in a couple of lines from some cheesy film in there.

19 💃 Where The Sun Don't Shine

via: Morphin' Legacy

In the Megaforce episode "Man and Machine,"🌠 the Mega Rangers face off against Shadow Serpent, a shadow-stealing monster. Apparently, people need their shadows to move around, because the people🔥 who's shadows he eats end up freezing in place. So its up to the Mega Rangers to teach Robo Knight the meaning of teamwork in order to defeat this new threat.

Power Rangers, like most campy superhero shows, has a tendency for having the heroes give the monster a corny one-liner relating to its powers before blowing it to smithereens. Since the Shadow Serpent tends to go out when its bright and sunny (that's when shadows reach their peakಞ flavor), Red Ranger Troy was able to get away with spouting this gem: "Let's hit this guy where the sun don't shine!"

18 ♔ Always Remember To Pack A Spare

In "Powers From the Past," the premiere episode of the Dino Charge series, two courageous teenagers find themselves in possession of two ancient and powerful MacGuffins known as the Energems. These artifacts were originally guarded by dinosaurs (really?) from a ruthless bounty hunter, and now it's up to these teens to protect them from intergalactic monsters. During their first fight against a monster, future Red Ranger Tyler pulls out some ridiculous things from his backpack to use as wea🦂pons.

First he pulls out a banana.

Then he pulls out a pair of underwear, and finally a shovel. It's a silly gag, but what's Tyler doing that he needs an extra pair of underwear for? And more concerning, why the heck was he carrying a shovel to school💙?

17 𒁏 What A Piece Of Scrap ♌

via: Inverse

In the first episode of RPM, "The Road to Corinth," we are introduced to a post-apocalyptic Earth in which Venjix, a deadly Skynet-style AI, has destroyed most of humanity. What few remaining 𒁃people there are have taken refuge in the domed city of Corinth, which is guarded by the Power Rangers. The episode instead focuses on a mysterious stranger outside the dome known as Dillon.

At one point early in the episode, Blue Ranger Flynn tosses out half of a damaged Grinder (Venjix's robotic minions) out of a bus, calling it a "Piecไe of scrap!" However, due to his Scottish accent, it's kind of hard to make out the 'S' in "scra꧒p." Even the closed captions can't hear it, and subtitle him as saying "Piece of crap!"

In the Samurai season 2 episode "Something Fishy," it is revealed that Gold Ranger Antonio has developed a fear of fish following the ev🤡ents of the previous episode in ꦉwhich he was turned into a fish and nearly eaten. The other Rangers try to help Antonio get over his recent trauma, as well as deal with Serrator, the season's main villain, as he makes his first appearance on Earth.

Antonio is clearly shaken up by the previous episode's events.

It shows in his actions. To help calm ꦅhim down, Yellow Ranger Emil⭕y gets him a drink. This being a kids' show, the drink is just plain tap water, but the way Antonio knocks it back you could swear he was expecting a stiffer drink. Censors be darned, get that man some harder stuff!
