The world of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warhammer 40,000 is expansive and dynamic, to say the least. The universe is yours to explore, and technology has🐷 expanded leaps and bounds in the 41st millennium. However, not everything is sunshine and daisies. Actually, very little of the world of Warhamme෴r 40k is.

There are aliens that want to kill you, rogue psychics that want to kill you, and sometimes even planets that... well, want to kill you. There's definitely a theme here. These are some of the main reasons we wouldn't want to live in the universe of Warhammer 40k. They don't call it grimdark for nothing.

10 Mutations

Warhammer 40k Helbrute Firing Weapon

Whether it be chaos or the dangerous chemicals found in the heavily ind♚ustrial society of the Imperium, the mutations of 40k are no𓆏t usually the fun kind.

Tent🦩acles, extra eyes, fangs, and tu🃏sks — or even more horrific mutations — may be commonplace depending on what planet you live on or what you do for a living.

9 ⛄ 𓂃 The Technology

Warhammer 40k Servo SKull Floating

Industry has come a long way. But, not always for the better. True, cybernetics can replace lost limbs and extend your lifespan. But, it isn't always being used for good.

Prisoners are turned into servitors, a combination of rotting corpse and automaton, or a hovering servo-skull that may be used as a speaker or camera system. The industrial complex of the Imperium kills and maims people daily, and there's no early retirement.

8 Xenos

Warhammer 40k Ork Warboss

The universe is a big and scary place, and humanity isn't alone in it. From cold and robotic Necrons to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the all-consuming Tyranids, the galaxy and🦹 all its inhabitants are more than happy to kill you.

Even if you're content to live a life at home on whatever planet you grew up on, you still may not be safe. Incursions from different alien races are common, and you may find yourself on a planet those aliens once called home too.

7 Psykers

Warhammer 40k Inquisitor In Power Armor

One of the more beneficial-but-scary mutations is the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:growth of psychic abilities. 🔯These psy𒉰kers, as they are called, are highly sought out. Those who are caught early are sent to be trained to benefit the Imperium, as one of the many jobs they may be suited for.

Those who slip under the radar are marked rogues, and often don't quite have a hold of their powers. It doesn't take much for an undeveloped psyker to either turn you inside out or become a conduit for the chaos powers.

6 The Work

Warhammer 40k Imperial Church

There's plenty of work to be done in the galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man. None of it seems that fun though. Even if you do find yourself in an office job instead of one of the deadly battlefields or sweltering factories, the work is still pretty harsh.

Gone are the 40-hour work weeks — you're pretty much working every day, for as long as your body can stand it. All while listening to propaganda on how hard work and vigilance are the quickest ways to the Emperor's light.

5 Chaos

Warhammer 40k Roboute Guilliman Fighting Chaos Legion

The denizens of the warp and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the four chaos gods that rule over them don't want to see humanity do well.

Whether it be a full-blown daemonic assault on your planet or just a local chaos cult murdering people, there is plenty to dislike about chaos as a whole. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chaos surrounds the material world, and the only thing that really seems to keep it away is staunch belief in the Emperor. At least there's that.

4 ꩲ Military Life

Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard Vs Ork Warboss

The Imperial Guard is by far the largest career path for any human in the 41st millennium. Not because it's all-powerful, but because so many lives are lost day-to-day.

The average new soldier's lifespan is measured in minutes. If you do find yourself surviving the first hour, or even the first campaign, you still probably won't ever see home again. After all, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:there's only war left in the universe nowadays.

3 Oppressive Govꦅernment

Warhammer 40k Imperial Worshippers

The word of the Emperor and the people chosen to spread his word are absolute. If you find yourself disagreeing, or even slightly unhappy with Imperial life, then chances are you won't be around long.

Whether marked as a heretic or just forgotten about entirely, the Imperium of Man h🤡as noꦚ room for differing opinions.

2 Space Travel 🍎 𝔍

Warhammer 40k Grey Knight Ceremony

Exploring the stars seems like a fun time. Until you realize the danger that comes with it, that is. Ever since the Emperor's mighty webway was disrupted by him being fatally wounded, travel through the warp is a little sketchy, to say the least.

Travel might take months, or even years, and there's no way to say for sure if you'll end up in the right place — or even the right time — if the storms of the warp flare up. Did we mention that if the Geller field that protects you from the warp ever fails, then daemons will infest the ship?

1 🐎 The Inq🐲uisition

Warhammer 40k Inquisitor With Force Hammer

The boogeymen of the 41st millennium. The Imperium's Holy Inquisition is the order of law that carries the weight of the Emperor himself. They are tasked with making sure no one threatens the sanctity of the Imperium.

Whether it be daemonic entities, chaos cultists, or people that interact with various xenos in the galaxy, the Inquisition is there to put a stop to it. Often wielding obscure weaponry and powers, they will go to extreme lengths to complete their goals — includ🐲ing killing anyone who gets in their way, or even destroying whole planets.
