How To Obtain Every Fulmin Variant

The Fulmin is a shotgun and assault rifle hybrid, switching modes on the fly with the alt-fire input. Both fire modes release electric rounds that deal mostly Electricity damage to targets, featuring above-average critical stats and a decent status chance in the shotgun form. Unlike most weapons, the Fulmin uses a rechargeable battery for its magazine, giving it infinite ammo. Not firing this weapon for a couple of seconds will cause the magazine to regenerate ammunitio🎃n at a rapid rate, affected 🎃by your reload speed stat.

The shotgun form behaves similarly to the Arca Plasmor, releasing an energy wave that travels a short distance before disappearing. The Fulmin Prime features the same behavior as the standard Fulmin. Both the shotgun and automatic forms behave the same on this model, albeit with much higher base stats. Compared to the standard variant, the Fulmin Prime buffs the base damage and status chance of the shotgun form, the critical chance of the automatic form, and the magazine and reload stats of both forms. We start by using Serration (R7) to scale the weapon's base damage. Split Chamber is then used to scale our multishot, effectively doubling our damage when it activates. Viral is amazing against all factions while Electricity helps with destroying Corpus shields.

With our remaining few points, we opt to scale this weapon's great critical stats to make each shot pack a serious punch. Critical Delay is the strongest critical chance mod available, giving our shotgun mode a whopping 90% critical chance. Paired with Viral Sense, these critical hits deal 4.8x more damage, decimating anything you're aiming at. Since we land so many critical hits, Hunter Munitions is a major damage boost. The forced Slash procs on critical hits w꧟ill help this gun deal with armored targets in level 100+ content.

If you don't mind adjusting other parts of your loadout, we highly recommend using Zephyr or Rhino with this gun to drastically buff its damage potential. Zephyr's Tornados have excellent synergy with this gun's shotgun mode, while Rhino's Roar buff makes the Fulmin hit like a truck.

Endgame Build (7 Forma)

This build focuses on making the Fulmin's shotgun mode deal as much damage as possible. We aggressively scale the weapon's base damage, multishot, and elemental damage to dish out some massive hits and Slash procs. Creating this build does require seven Forma (less if using the Primed version) alongside Primary Exilus and Arcane Adapters.

We start by scaling the weapon's base damage. Primary Merciless gives us a massive 360% base damage modifier if we kill enough targets. We further boost this effect with Galvanized Savvy, granting more base damage by defeating targets debuffed by status effects. Since the shotgun mode always staggers targets and is fairly likely to proc Electricity and Viral, you'll typically receive a 240% damage from this mod. The massive multishot bonus from Galvanized Chamber helps this weapon chew thro🅺ugh unarmored targets with little iss🉐ue.

Viral is still the way to go for an endgame setup, but we'll be using Primed Cryo Rounds with Malignant Force this time. The Primed Cryo Rounds mod provides a massive 165% Cold damage bonus to our weapon compared to the 60% we were getting from Rime Rounds in the previous configuration. Critical Delay and Vital Sense are used once again to scale the weapon's critical stats, ensuring nearly every shot critically hits with a 4.8x damage multiplier.

Since we have ample mod space left, we can replace Hunter Munitions with Internal Bleeding. This mod has a base 35% chance of inflicting a Slash proc on targets affected by Impact stagger, a debuff we inflict with every shotgun blast. Since the weapon fires just under 2.5 rounds per second, we meet the requirements to double Internal Bleeding's proc chance (70%), making this mod better than Hunter Munitions for the Fulmin. We pair this with a Primed Bane mod to add another multiplicative scalar to our damage. In other words, your shotgun blasts and Slash procs are going to shred Steel Path targets. Thr🐭ow on your favorite Exilus mod to finis𒐪h the build, and enjoy destroying Steel Path enemies with a devastating shotgun that has infinite ammo.
