The Prime variant received some major upgrades over its normal counterpart, making it one of the strongest non-Incarnon weapons in Warframe. In this guid💮e, we'll cover how you can get your hands on the Akarius and its Prime variant, and we'll showcase some of the best builds you can useཧ on this weapon.

How To Obtain Every Akarius Variant

The standard version of the Akarius is obtained by defeating Infested Demolishers on Ur, Uranus. Ur is a Disruption node with Level 30 Infested. Each conduit you activate will spawn one Infested Demolisher that will attempt to destroy the conduit. Eliminate the Demolisher before it explodes. Infested Demolisher𒁃s have a 1.25% chance of dropping the Akarius blueprint.

The Akarius blueprint can not be trade🧜d betweenඣ players. This only applies to the non-Prime version.

Crafting The Akarius Prime

The Akarius Prime may be obtained by opening Void Relics in Fissure Missions. Certain Relics have a chance of dropping 𓆉an Akarius Prime component. You will need two barrels, two receivers, a link, and an Akarius Prime blueprint to 🌸craft this weapon. Each component drops from the following Relics:

• Blueprint: Neo A11 (Rare)
• Barrel: Axi D5 (Common)
• Receiver: Lith A6 (Uncommon)
• Link: Lith R5 (Common)

All four parts may 💙be traded with other players, so obtaining the Akarius Prime should generally be easier than earning its non-Prime counterpart. Crafting the ⛦Akarius Prime requires the following materials:

Akarius Stats

The Akarius is a pair of rocket pistols that can track targets mid-flight. Rockets can redirect their trajectory toward enemies within 15 degrees. They will bias the chest upon doing so, but it is possible for your rockets to land headshots if you aim slightly above the target's skull. Rockets explode on impact, damaging all enemies within 7.2 meters.

Compared to most explosive weapons, the Akarius is a hard-hitting, fast-firing weapon that trades auxiliary stats for raw damage. Mod for blast radius, elemental damage, and faction multipliers to maximize the Akarius' DPS.

Akarius Prime Stats

Akarius Riven Mods

Starter Build (Akarius, 0 Forma)

This build uses the default Akarius and no Forma, tailored for mid-game players who want a fun explosive secondary that can handle Normal Path content. We use Hornet Strike to scale the weapon's base damage, then use Barrel Diffusion and Lethal Torrent to increase the weapon's multishot value.

Since the weapon comes with two innate dash polarities, we can take advantage of Convulsion and Pathogen Rounds to create Corrosive with minimal mod capacity. Use Scorch to give the Akarius some Heat damage and bonus status chance. With the last five points, we recommend using Quickdraw (R3) to help✃ reduce this weapon's absurdly long reload speed.

With 𝕴a burst DPS of roughly 100K, you should be able to brute force through any target's health bar in Star Chart content and Sorties. It should also be solid in Arbitrations if you bring a Warframe that buffs your weapon damage. If you like this weapon and want to min-max it, we recommend getting the Akarius Prime first.

Endgame Build (Akarius Prime, 4 Forma)

This endgame build pushes the Akarius Prime's damage output to its limit, allowing it to outright kill Steel Path Grineer and Corrupted targets without any help from your Warframe. The secret sauce to this build is Cascadia Flare. This Zariman Arcane gives you base damage by applying Heat status, something this weapon can do quite easily. Land a few rockets, and you'll gain a w♋hopping 480% base꧙ damage.

For our multishot, we use Galvanized Diffusion and Lethal Torrent. Critical stats are worth investing into with the Prime version, so we equip Primed Pistol Gambit and Primed Target Cracker. If you don't have Primed Pisto𝔍l Gambit, Creeping Bullseye is an excellent sub♛stitute.

Pistols have access to Primed Convulsion and Primed Heated Charge, two absurdly powerful elemental mods. We pair Convulsion with Pistol Pestilence to create Corrosive damage, making this weapon much stronger against armored targets. Primed Heated Charge is used on its own to give this weapon Heat damage, allowing the Akarius Prime t🦂o build Cascadia Flare stacks.

Since Galvanized Shot doesn't work on AoE damage, we've opted to use Primed Fulmination in the final mod slot. This greatly buffs the Akarius Prime's AoE explosions to 11.4 meters, 🌳comparable to the Kuva Ogris and Kuva Bramma. Paired with the gun's innate enemy tracking, you should have no issue clearing hordes of enemies with this gun.

The only remaining issue on the Akarius Prime is its ammo reserves. This weapon burns through ammo in seconds, so you'll want some form of ammo sustain on your weapon. We recommend Pistol Ammo Mutation in the Exilus slot to convert ammo drops into Akarius Prime ammo. You can also use Arcane Pistoleer to give this weapon infinite ammo on a headshot kill. Aim slightly above𓆏 the enemy's head to easily trigger this Arcane.
