Money - or rather, Lucre - is as important a resource in as it was in any previous series entry. You'll need it for weapons, armor, and items. Granted, that's not a ๊long list, but it's pretty easy to deplete ♛your stock of MP-restoring Faerie Acorns, and weapon prices start to skyrocket later on.

There are a handful of key ways to ensure you alwꦏays have 🦋ample cash on-hand. So long as you stick with these tips at least some of the time, you should never have any budget issues rearing their ugly heads when you least expect them.

Time Your Fortuneflies

Fortuneflies are to Lucre what Valorflies are to EXP. Which is to say, Fortuneflies double your money gains from battle for one minute, while Valorflies double your EXP from them. Both respawn eventually - posಞsibly from loading out and then back into a zone.

Clearly, it's beneficial to take advantage of Fortuneflies and Valorflies whenever possible. But make sure you know the locations of a few nearby enemy groups before interacting with one so that you don't waste too much🦂 time running around. Trust us, it happens.

Don't let the ticking timer dissuade you from starting another fight right before the minute's up. So long as you enter a fight with at least one second on the clock, it'll hold until you've won.

Find Lil Cactus

The lovable returning mascot, Lil Cactus, has gone and cleverly hidden himself in each of a whopping 38 areas. That means most of Visions of Mana's maps have Lil Cactus in them.

Not only do you get to read cute diary pages every time you find him, but at every fifth discovery, you gain a new reward. Two of these involve shop price reductions, whജich will have a major effect on how much cash 𒁃you're throwing down at any given time.

Light Incense

Ample Incense, which can be found while exploring as well as purchased in limited quantities from Dudbear shops, increases the amount of Lucre earned in battles by ten percent for ten minutes.

Rich Incense, which is a bit rarer, but also purchasable at Dudbear shops once they've reached a third-chapter story upgrade, increases Lucre by twenty percent for ten minutes.

Make lighting incense a regular part of your routine whenever you're expecting multiple battles, or even right before a boss fight, and your finances should spike sharply.
