It's lucky, then, that the dungeon is also quite fun to traverse, once you've resigned yourself to lots of aimless wandering, tons of enemies to trounce, and quite a lot of decent treasure to pick up. It's worth taking on, that's for sure - if only to get an in-game justification for why Dragon-Tooth Warriors are so tough.

Black Dream Tower Overview

Black Dream Tower has a very convoluted map with lots of entrances and exits to navigate. This is one of the dungeons in the game that rewards the use of an Eye of Heaven and liberal use of the map - e💜ven with explicit directions, things caಌn get very confusing.

Regardless of which difficult mode you're on, you should have an Ether Scepter by now - either from the Gorhia Cult HQ from the previous chapter or the Tower of Lezard Valeth on this chapter. A sorcerer, equipped with the Ether Scepter, will be able to instantly kill or severely damage any monster in this dungeon with Lightning Bolt of Icicle Edge. Bring two sorcerers and each battle can be over in the🐼 first round.

Navigating Black Dream Tower

From the entrance, head all the way to the right until you reach some stairs to the rear - climb them. Walk to the left until you can take a rear exit - take it, and then head all the way to the left to get the Auto Item skill book from a chest. On this same screen, head all the way to the right to pick up the Vainslayer sword, whiꦫch is a very nice weapon only hampered by a 🔥small chance to break each round.

There are three exits to the rear on this screen - take the one on the far left, and then follow this path until you reach a screen with a chest containing a Warhammer - be careful of the explosion trap. On this screen, there are two exits to the front, take the one on the right. There are two chests on this screen, and they are trapped with large explosions. They contain an Element Scepter and the Noise Arrow skill book.

Backtrack to the screen with two toothy platforms on the right and jump up them. The scaly blanket-looking things can be used as ladders to climb up to the top of the screen.

Use the rope to climb across the gap, and then take the exit to the rear at the very top of the screen.

On this next screen, take the frontal exit on your left, then keep taking frontal exits until you run out of them. You'll be at the front of the dungeon - another screen with multiple rear exits. Take the first one to your right and you'll end up in a tall room, falling.

After hitting the bottom in this room, start making your way back up to the top, opening the chests on the way to get the Hit skill book, a Quartz Gem, and the Splash skill book. Take the frontal exit at the top of this room and then follow this path back to the front of the dungeon.

Take the righthand exit to the rear to find a Dancing Sword chest trapped with an explosion, and then take the lefthand exit to the rear to reach a screen with two exits to the rear.

Take the lefthand exit to the rear in this room and head further to the rear to reach the back of the dungeon. Here, open the chest on the left to get a Lightning Bolt spell book and the one on the right for an Eye of Heaven. They are both trapped with explosions.

Head back to the front and take the frontal exit that you'll find far on the right. You'll find a save point here. Save your game and stock up on whatever you might need. The path to the left will pit you against the boss.

How To Defeat The Wise Sorcerer And The Dragon-Tooth Warrior

Time for a dual boss!

The gimmick with this battle is that when a Dragon-Tooth Warrior dies, the soul inside it will use Possess, healing and strengthening one of the enemies left behind, boosting its damage and its maximum health. This is true of every Dragon-Tooth Warrior in the game. This makes defeating the Dragon-Tooth Warrior before the Wise Sorcerer a dangerous idea, so you should try your best to deal with the Sorcerer first.

The Dragon-Tooth Warrior has mean attacks and is weak to an element you likely don't have access to just yet. Its attacks will reliably inflict faint, but you'll find that many of them are easily guarded against - so be on the lookout for counterattack opportunities.

As with all other Wise Sorcerers in the game, you'll need to be wary of this boss. He has two spells, Dark Savior and Fiendish Shape, the latter of which is unblockable. A good strategy is to keep Reflect Sorcery up at all times, which will heavily neutralize the Wise Sorcerer's damage output. Not only will this protect you, but the reflected spells will

Our advice is to bring two (or three) sorcerers to the fight. If you have two Ether Scepters at this point, that's fantastic - equip them both with these incredible weapons and let them go to town on the Wise Sorcerer from afar while your melee attackers whittle the Dragon-Tooth Warrior's health down.

If you don't have two Ether Scepters, you can use Dragonbane, the Katana/Staff acquired by heading to Hai Lan and talking to Minayo at Nanami's family's shrine after recruiting Nanami.

If you find yourself struggling a lot to cope with the Wise Sorcerer's Fiendish Shape attack before you can burst him down, it might be worth equipping Valkyrie with your best bow so that she ꧃can contribute to the back r🎀ow damage effort.

The Dragon-Tooth Warrior has very high RDM, so you might want to use Sap Guard on it if you have it. Magic is the besꦑt way to defeat it, though, so keep your sorcerers healthy.

Alternatively, you can use a Dragon Slayer to instantly destroy the Dragon-Tooth Warrior. You can get this weapon either from Arngrim's house in Artolia or the Oddrock Caves (if you're on Normal mode). Again, though, we recommend only using this if you've already killed the Wise Sorcerer, equipping the sword mid-battle.
