One of the most dangerous biomes in Valheim is the Mistlands and with it, comes an equally challenging boss. In this misty biome, you can find the Queen; a giant 𓆉bug that can do some serious damage. If you need help finding and defeating the Queen, we are here to help.
In this guide, we are going to take a look at how you can successfully locate and then defeat the sixth boss in Valheim. This will include her location, as well as the strategy to defeat her. Now, let's take a quick look at how to find the Mistlands biome.
Finding The Mistlands
As mentioned above, the Queen is found within the Mistlands biome. Lik🌺e other biomes in the game, the Mistlands will spawn randomly on the༺ map.
Since the biome is currently the 'last' one you will need to visit to progress, it will be located quite far from your spawn location.
Overall, you may have to travel a long time before you find it. As there is no set location, it really comes down to trial and error. We recommend taking your boat around the coasts, checking if any Mistland shores appear.
As the name of the biome suggests, it's covered in Mist. You will be able to see a little better if you have a Wisplight, which is made from one wisp and one silver. Wisps can be obtained around Wisp fountains during the night. Wisplights can be equipped, but keep in mind that you can only have one item equipped at a time.
Locating The Queen
Up until now, you've entered biomes, found a Forsaken Altar, and then summoned the respective boss. This changes once you fight the queen. Instead of summoning her at an altar, you will need to enter the Infested Citadel, which is where she resides.
When you have found the Infested Citadel, you will then need to use a Sealbreaker to enter. Immediately after you enter, the Queen will then spawn, and the battle will begin.
Below, we will take a clo♍ser look at the Sealbreaker and Infested Citadel.
Making A Sealbreaker
The Sealbreaker is a unique 'key' that can be made on the Galdr table with nine Sealbreaker fragments.
These fragments can be found in Infested Mines. They don't drop from enemies; you just need to pick one up. Infested Mines are giant cylindrical structures that are quite tall. Rather than being entirely underground, you should be able to spot these from a distance, making them not too diff𒅌icul😼t to locate. If you are unprepared, just drop a marker on the map and come back later.
When you are searching Infested Mines, you can also come across a Runestone that will mark the location of the Queen on your map; be sure to s🌄earch every area of the miꦗnes before leaving!
As for th💮e Galdr table, this is a crafting station that ဣutilizes magic. To make it, you will need the following materials.

When you have nine Sealbreaker fragments, combine them at the Galdr table to receive one complete Sealbreaker.
The Infested Citadel
Now that you have a Sealbreaker, you can set out to the Infested Citadel. This is essentially a dungeon area where you fight the Queen. The Citadel is massive, so you will easily be able to spot it. When you approach, you will see a closed door; with your Sealbreaker, you can easily enter the structure. There may be a few enemies standing in front, but there is no set 'protector' of this front entrance.
Once inside, the Queen will spawn, and you can get to fighting!
Fighting The Queen
It's finally time to fight the Queen. As the final boss in the game, she is quite difficult. The Queen does not have any weaknesses that you can exploit.
In terms of armor and weapons, it's imperative that you have the best. Carapace armor is a set that you can craft after visiting the Mistlands. We strongly recommend that you have the full Carapace armor set before you fight the Queen. Additionally, wield a powerful weapon and br♊ing plenty of potions and food.
Now, on to the Queen's main attacks. The Queen uses a few different moves, with three main melee attacks. This means that more often than not, she will be using a melee attack. Below, you can check out the Queen's main moves.

- Biting (this inflicts poison)
- Stabbing Ground
- Roars to summon two Seekers
- Shoots poison projectiles that explode and spawn a Seeker Brood
- Borrows and digs underground, appearing somewhere else
- Quickly moves to a nearby player and slashes
Overall, the Queen is very fast; you will need to do some serious dodging and evading to avoid her powerful attacks that have strong knockback.
Tips To Defeat The Queen
First, it's important to know that the entrance area of the Infested Citadel is a bit of a 'safe zone'. The Queen can't attack you here, but her summons may be able to reach you. If you are struggling or need to heal, head to this area and take a quick break.
The Queen resists Pierce damage, which means that your best bet is to use melee attacks or magic. Since the Queen also uses melee attacks, you will need to time your own attacks. 🌱For example, when the Queen roars, she is open to melee attacks.
If you are playing alone, you will need to quickly move and kite the Queen around the Citadel, while striking at opportune moments. If you are playing with others, things are a bit easier. One player should act as a 'tank' or kite the Queen, while others attack. When the Queen changes her target, switch roles.
The Staff of Embers or the Staff of Frost are great ranged weapon choices for this fight since they don't rely on Pierce damage.
While the Queen's summons may not seem too important, we recommend killing them quickly. If you ignore these summons for too long, they will get out of hand and can even kill you.
Overall, it is easier to defeat the Queen if you are playing with others. It's possible to do so alone, but it takes a bit longer. If this is the case, don't forget to head to the entrance area.
Once you have defeated the Queen, you will receive a trophy that can be placed at spawn. With this, you will receive a new power, which increases mining speed, as well as increases your Eitr regeneration by 100 percent.
Resummoning The Queen
The Queen can be summoned again, but now it's similar to other bosses. Inside the Infested Citadel, you can find a Forsaken Altar. If you place three Seeker Soldier trophies on this altar, the Queen will be summoned again.
