After defeating Yagluth, the boss located in the Plains, you will receive three Torn Spirits. These can be used to craft a Wisp Fountain, which just needs one spirit and ten stones.
With a Wisp Fountain, you can collect wisps at night, which are then used to make Wisp Torches or Wisplights. Below, you can check out a descripti🌼on of these items.

Building A Base In The Mistlands
For some reason, you want to build a base in the Mistlands. If this biome still scares you, we recommend not building in the Mistlands. It's quite dangerous; no matter how tall your defenses, Seekers and Gjall can just fly over your walls.
If you still want to build in the Mistlands, we have a few tips for you. First, build close to the water. This goes for several of the more difficult biomes, but being near the water gives you a slight advantage. You won't be surrounded on every side, and you can easily make your escape. Additionally, you will have a bit better visibility.
We also recommend building your base near a Yggdrasil root. There are giant tree roots that can provide shelter, and can't be destroyed by enemies. Essentially, they provide an impenetrable wall for your base.
