There are several different types of damage you can take in V Rising aside from sunlight. One ♈of these damage ty♌pes is Holy Radiation. This is a strong effect that can quickly cause you to lose your HP and die.
Holy Radiation isn't a problem when you are traveling around the Farbane Woods, but once you make it to Dunley Farmlands, you definitely want to be prepared to deal with it. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to get Holy resistance so you will not take as much damage. First, let's go over where you can be exposed to Holy Radiation.
Locations With Holy Radiation
Holy Radiation damage will occur naturally near religious structures, such as the Dunley Monastery. These locations🦩 will cause you to take Holy damage when you approach, which means that you may die before you even make it inside.
When you are about to take Holy Radiation damage, the edges of your screen will begin to glow; you will have a few seconds to retreat before you begin to take heavy damage.
You can also take Holy Radiation damage while fighting Christina the Sun Priestess. Forওtunately, if you keep your distance from her and use long-range attacks, you will not take any Holy Radiation Damage.
Unlocking The Recipe For The Holy Resistance Potion
The best way to prevent Holy Radiation is with the Holy Resistance Potion. This is a potion that will unlock after you defeat Christina the Sun Priestess, a level 44 boss. As you can see, this is a bit of a catch-22; Christina deals Holy Radiation damage, but to get the potion, you will need to defeat her.
To deal with Christina the Sun Priestess, we recommend coming prepared with attacks such as Chaos Volley, allowing you to avoid her Holy Radiation attacks and attack from afar. We also recommend using iron weapo🔥ns, which have three different attacks that you can use.
Christina the Sun Priestess can be found walking the paths between Dawnbreak Village and the Dunley Monastery. 𒆙Be sure to track her scent so you can quickly🅘 find her.
Once defeated, you will receive the recipe for the Holy Resistance Potion, as well as the following recipes.
- Glass
- Empty Glass Bottle
- Blood Rose Potion
Making The Potion
To make the Holy Resis🌼tance Potion, you wil🌼l need the following materials.
- 45x Mourning Lily
- 2x Scourgestone
- 1x Water Filled Bottle
This potion can be crafted at the Alchemy Table, which will become available once you defeat Clive the Firestarter, who is a level 30 boss found in the Bandit Sulphur Quarry on the eastmost edge of Farbane Woods. Let's take a quick look at how to get each one of these materials below.

Holy Resistance Gear
In addition to crafting the Holy Resistance Potion, you can also make the Phantom's Veil, which provides 15 Holy Resistance. This cloak will also provide resiꦡstance to the other damage types; silver, garlic, and sunlight.
To make the Phantom's Veil, you will need to defeat Foulrot the Soultaker, a level 62 boss. You can find Foulrot in the Cursed Forest, near the Ancient Village. This is a high-level boss compared to Christina the Sun Priestess, so be sure to come prepared with strong weapons and gear, as well as healing potions.
Once defeated, you can craft the Phantom's Veil with the following materials.
- 4x Ghost Yarn
- 4x Spectral Dust
Bear Form
Lastly, you can gain a bit of Holy Resistance while in bear form. This is a form that can be unlocked once you defeat the Ferocious Be💯ar, who is a level 36 boss. You can find this boss in the Bear Cave, located on the western side of Farbane Woods.
Bear Form reduces the damage you take by 25 percent, which includes Holy Radiation damage. This isn't the most practical if you are engaged in combat, but it's great if you plan on running quickly through an area that has Holy Radiation. If you stay in an area with Holy Radiation for too long, you will begin to take heavy damage, even if you are in bear form, so be careful.
