How To Unlock The Mining Minigame

Every region in the game has a location for mining. However, for Cornia's, it is found near the southmost border, in the central section of that border. Once you complete the introductory chapter, and you reach Cornia, you will arrive at the harbor. You can technically sprint your way to the Cornia Quarry once you have control of Alain, however, you may want to complete a few battles first, as in order to gain 🌺access to the minigame you will need to complete The Mercenary's Trial quest, which does feature a number of heavy-hitting level 6 characters.

How To Play The Mining Minigame

Once you have uncovered the Cornia Quarry, and you have completed The Mercenary's Trial quest, you can talk to the foreman standing at the entrance of the quarry. He'll offer to let you mine for the low cost of 200 Gold. Once you pay the man his money, you will have thirty seconds to start running around and hitting the ground with your pickax. If you are relatively close, you will be given a green shockwave and an arrow pointing in the direction of the treasure. The green shockwave indicates you are about two to three steps away. If you are just a hair away, the shockwave will be red. 💫Take a baby step in the direction of the arrow and you should be able to hit paydirt.

Once you hit something, a half-circle meter will appear. The closer to the center you are, the more points you will get. Dead center is worth 100 points, just above or below the center is worth 50 points, the light green section is worth 20 points, the dark green section is worth 10, and hitting the meter on the ends is worth 5 points. The more valuable the item, the higher the point value you will need to hit. Thankfully, once you are mining you will be allowed to complete the current mining operation, even if you go over the time limit. The reason you want to complete the section as quickly as possible is so t✨hat you can mine for more valuables.

If you tap in quick succession, you can pretty much strike the same part of the meter twice. If you are in the light green sectiꦏon, on the way to the center, and you are mining something with𒊎 a 40 point requirement, doing this should guarentee you that you get it in two swings.

Additionally, with every pickax strike, you will build your "Mega Dig" strike. Using this ability will instantly dig up every treasure in the indicated radius. The first level will only give you a small radius around your miner, but the second level will give you a massive radius, the third level will cover nearly the entire quarry, but you will need to find an hourglass to be able to utilize it. Typically, we just go for the second level.

All Obtainable Items In The Cornia Quarry

For your convenience, we have assembled a list of every item you can mine in the Cornia Quarry. The only thing you need to know is that every quarry in the game contains five treasure maps. You will obtain those maps in order. You can find Divine Crystals before you have found all five maps, but it is a lot easier to find them once the maps are out of the way.
