168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Total War: Warhammer 3 launched with eight playable factions to choose from. Although Kislev and the Daemons of Chaos are recommended by the developers for a first campaign, th༒ey may not actually be the best choice, but more on that later. In this list, all factions are ranked based on the strength ofꦇ their single-player campaigns, although comments are also added to explain how beginner-friendly these factions are.

These are the factions with the best army rosters and campaign mechanics that yo𝕴u can use to dominate your enemies and, as they say in Warhammer terms, paint the map with. The order is from the weakest to the strongest.

Updated on May 3, 2023, by Alex Ferriday: The first two DLCs managed to completely overhaul a previously weak faction in the Warriors of Chaos, as well as introduce us to an entirely new race with the Chaos Dwarfs. Both are fantastic factions to play, with the four Warriors of Chaos campaigns being separate enough to warrant their own entries. This guide has been updated to reflect numerous balance patches and rank these new inclusions.

13 Nurgle

Total War Warhammer 3 Nurgle showing army roster in Nurgle realm

Nurgle the Plague God was one of the most popular fac꧅tions in Warhammer🌊 fantasy, and rightfully so. The units are even more revolting than the Skaven and are all linked to various plagues and other diseases. Gameplay-wise, Nurgle is closer to the Dwarves, and if you like to play defensively, you should consider playing as Nurgle. All units are slow and sturdy, preferring to win their battles through attrition.

As Nurgle, you win your battles by enduring whatever the enemy can throw at you, and coming out on top in the end. With only two missile units and no cavalry, your roster is limited, alt🎶hough you will get access to eight different types of (flying) monsters. Your main weakness is getting overwhelmed or flanked by missile and cavalry units. So, keep some war beasts and flying units on reserve to deal with surprise threats.

Your campaign with Kugath Plaguefather is quite slow and is generally not recommended for newer players, as although the units are quite simple to use, Nurgle's campaign mechanics are underwhelming and poorly tuned.

12 ꧙ Grand Cathay

Total War Warhammer 3 - Grand Cathay

Cathay might not have one of the most powerful army rosters overall, but they do have access to one of the best doom stacks, as Terracotta 🅺Sentinels are ridiculously strong. However, your basic units, such as Peasant Archers and Peasant Horsemen, pale in comparison to their Kislev or Old World counterparts. Your entire army also depends on a Yin-Yang harmony to work properly, which means staying in formation.

If your formation gets broken apart, it can all come crumbling down. While Cathay has a healthy balance of unit types, you will normꦐally become reliant on your most expensi๊ve units to carry your campaigns.

Thanks to the Great Bastion - Total War's version of the Great Wall, Miao Ying's campaign plays out uniquely. After taking out some rebels, the Great Bastion becomes a fantastic choke point, and if you enjoy the fantasy of defending your homeland, Grand Cathay can be a decent choice for the campaign.

11 ཧ 𝓰 Warriors Of Chaos: Slaanesh

Slaanesh Army And Azazel In Total War Warhammer 3

Led by Azazel, The Ecstatic Legions provides a fun campaign, but is held back by a rough start position. The Slaanesh units available to this Warriors of Chaos faction help add to their power, giving them some mobile infantry and cavalry. However, the faction already excels in these parti🍬cular areas of the battlefield, and although the roster is strong, they rank lowes🐼t out of the divided Warriors of Chaos factions.

Azazel is a strong melee lord, but he is overshadowed by N'kari, who essentially does what he does but much better. If you are keen on trying out the Slaanesh play style, it might be worth sticking to the Daemonic version of this faction, as they have a more interesting start location and campaign mechanics.

10 Tzeentch

Total War Warhammer 3 Tzeentch showing army roster on Tzeetch realm

Tzeentch is a fun faction with a unique play style. He is a bit like Littlefinger from Game of Thrones, always scheming and plotting, but with tonnes of magic. Tzeentch's main abilities in the campaign are that he can alter the strength of the Winds of Magic in a province, teleport his armies, steal settlements, and eventually force other factions to go to war.

In battle, Tzeentch's army relies heavily on magic, as well as hit-and-run tactics. Most of his units are glass cannons: fragile, but capable of dealing a lot of damage. This means that a lot of intensive micromanagement will be needed to properly employ Tzeentch's army in battle. If you are a veteran Total War player, this may be one of the strongest factions, but for the average player, it can be a struggle to effectively micro your units.

9 Warriors Of Chaos: Nurgl🌸e ꧙

Nurgle Army And Festus The Leechlord In Total War Warhammer 3

While being an upgrade over the regular version of Nurgle, The Fecundites have a slow early game, as starting almost in the middle of the Empire comes with its drawbacks. You are relatively free to go where you please, but you are also surrounded by enౠemies and could struggle to secure the all-important Dark Fortress sites.

The Nurgle units enhance the roster, with Chosen of Nurgle among the strongest melee infantry in the game. Festus is a strong lord and can provide powerful buffs and healing for your army, helping you spread your insidious plagues throughout the Empire. The Warriors of Chaos W♒arband mechanic helps to alleviate the slow gameplay of Nurgle, and considerably speeds up your campaign, resulting in a much better experience ♍overall.

8 Kislev

Total War Warhammer 3 Kislev showing army roster on Kislev terrain

Despite being recommended for new players, Kislev can be an unforgiving and hard campaign. Your lands are stretched out wi🥃de and your enemies will b🏅e coming from all sides. It also takes a while before you can recruit the best units, such as the War Bear Riders, Streltski, and Little Grom. Then there is the Elemental Bear, who only shines when you have unlocked Boris Ursus.

In battle, it looks a lot better for Kislev. Their main advantage is that they have a lot of hybrid units. While you normally need to be careful with your artillery and missile units, as Kislev, they are capable of surviving in a protracted melee. This makes Kislev's army quite beginner-friendly and allows you to make mistakes.

Even in 🦩the heat of battle, Kislev often has a way to come out o🔯n top. On the other hand, they lack any units that are truly the best in their respective fields, so there is nothing extraordinary here either.

7 Daemons Of Chaos 🌸

Total War Warhammer 3 Daemons of Chaos showing army roster in realm of Chaos

Daemons of Chaos is recommended for beginners by the developers, as the nature of the faction gives you great flexibility when 𓆏it comes to choosing your play style, but the campaign can be very difficult, mainly due to their starting position. There are a lot of enemies nearby that will come looking for you, and it is easy to get overwhelmed. Your Daemon is also fully customizable and becomes increasingly stronger throughout the campaign.

Daemons of Chaos features a roster that combines all the other Chaos units. So, that means every unit from Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeentch can be recruited into your army. Suffice to say, this gives them the most diverse army roster of all factions. The unfortunate downside that it takes a lot of time to unlock t🍌heir best units, so you will not be able to field them until late in the campaign.

6 Warriors Of ✨Chaos: Tze♕entch

Vilitch The Curseling And Tzeentch Army In Game In Total War Warhammer 3

Another upgrade over the regular daemonic version of their faction is the Puppets of Misrule. Belonging to Vilitch the Curseling, a powerful hybrid melee and caster lord, The Warriors of Chaos help fill in the gaps where the original Tzeentch ros🌸ter was lacking. A powerful and tanky frontline can now easily protect your devastating missile troops, and these missiles also aid the Warriors in their own deficiency.

Thanks to this complimentary play style, Vilitch excels in his campaign, starting in a beautifully safe location to the North-East ❀of Cathay. This gives you a very secure position from which t⭕o expand, and Vilitch can quickly rack up large swathes of land, something his Tzeentchian counterpart cannot.

5 Slaanesh

Total War Warhammer 3 Slaanesh showing army roster on Slaanesh realm

Slaanesh's army is high-risk high-reward. It relies heavily on outmaneuvering, speed, and hit-and-run tactics. A key trait is that Slaanesh relies heavily on melee combat, rather than magic. Slaanesh also features seven different cavalry and chariot units, giving you great options on the flanks. Slaanesh also lacks any missile units whatsoever, even their chariots and monsters do not have a ranged attack.

Even more so than Tzeentch, Slaanesh's roster is the very definition of a glass cannon army. This is advantageous because you can truly focus all of your attention on delivering surgical strikes and flanking maneuvers, but can leave you severely punished by misplays. On the campaign map, seducing units can help you fill in the gaps in your roster, alongside weakening your enemies.

4 Ogre 🐭Kingdoms

Total War Warhammer 3 Ogre Kingdoms showing army roster and Skrag the Slaughterer

The Ogre Kingdoms were already teased in Total War: Warhammer 2, but now they are a full-fledged faction with two legendary lords. Their strength in the campaign depends on who you pick as your lord, as both c🌊an play out extremely differently. Skrag helps to boost Gorgers, one of your best units, but has a difficult starting position in Immortal Empires. Greasus is a weaker lord but has a much easier time in his early game.

The Ogre Kingdoms also field one of the most powerful artillery units in the game, the Ironblaster, with tremendous range and capable of dealing extremely high damage. This artillery gun allows you to dictate the terms of the field of battle, letting ♑your powerful monsters and cavalry decide when and where to ♓strike.
