Following the series passing into the hands of Crystal Dynamics, The already in-development Tomb Raider: Legend was handed to them. With their new trilogy, Lara was ushered into a new age, one that was at times more linear than previous entrie✨s but with smoother, if less freeform, controls. And of course, plenty of tombs to raid.

Tomb Raider Anniversary shares the same number of tombs🌳 are the original Tomb Raider as they are technically recreations of those same leves.

As you can see from the table above, Lara still has her fair share of globe-trotting adventures in the new trilogy. In total, we have 18 tombs to raid. Croft Manor is a fair inclusion in this seeing as it basically counts as a tomb with the amount of stolen artefacts housed within it. Though significantly less than the original series, it's a strong number for only three games.

How Many Tombs Does Lara Raid In The Reboot Trilogy?

In the rebooted trilogy, the games take on a decidedly different approach. No longer level-based, the games are semi-open survival games, having Lara navigate large areas with more freedom on where to explore in exchange for much-simplified movement mechanics and puzzles. As such, counting exact tombs gets a bit harder, so we've added notes to the table below to clarify.

The rebooted trilogy is not so easily identified in terms of tombs due to the more open nature of the games, though the locations mentioned above could be seen as the central locations where Lara does still find a treasure, which is what tomb raiding is all about. By that metric, the reboot trilogy has approximately seven tombs, though you could easily interpret that a♔s more if you wa🌃nted.

As such, that gives us a grand total of 56 tombs across the whole mainline series, give or take a few based on what you class as a tomb. That's a whole lot of pilfering, though something that comes as second nature to someone with the heritage of Lara Croft.
