Bethesda has been working on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield for more than a decade, so that's a lot of time spent thinking about space. It's, therefore, no surprise that game director Todd Howard has thought about going to space himself - and was actually invited to make this a reality.
So, why hasn't he gone already? Howard admits that it would be "amazing" to see the stars himself, but also says that he would prefer to go when he's a little older. Admittedly, spending a decade on a new IP is bound to make space travel difficult to slot in, and I'm not sure if Bethesda would be up for expensing that.
This comes from a recent interview, in which Howard opens up about the process of crafting Bethessda's first new IP in almost 30 years.
GQ, of course, had to ask Howard if his love of space travel meant he'd ever consider it himself. He wears his love of Starfield proudly, after all.
"I’ve been offered in the past," says Howard. "I think it would be🦩 amazing, but… maybe when I’m older."
There's no hint as to who had offered to take him to space, something I am dying to know. Alas, commercial space travel is in the hands of incredibly annoying billionaires right now, so if Howard is to go to space, he will likely have to throw some money at one of them. We saw this with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Trek's William Shatner, who was taken to space by Jeff Bezos. He actually seemed to hate the trip in the end though, so that might not be the best example.
In any case, hopefully we don't see everyone at Bethesda get space fever. We're waiting long enough for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls 6 as it is, and don't need anything else getting in the way. Howard actually also admitted that the team announced the next Elder Scrolls far tooꦏ soon, and probably should have been more low-key with it. Keeping that in mind, we shouldn't expect any glossy trailers anytime soon, and certainly no gameplay. Lord knows if there's much to show anyway, with Bethesda likely too busy with Starfield to make much progress.
Then there's Bethesda's other big IP, Fallout. We know a follow-up to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 4 is on the cards, but again, probably not ready to be shown off to the public for some time. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Howard's wish to go to space being fulfilled before we get 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 5. We know that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls 6 will launch first anyway, for whatever that's worth.
