While you may not have all day to wait for the gigantic whale to mozy on by, the fortunate news is that it comes by several times throughout the day at set intervals.
When Does The Gigantrite Become Available?
The Gigantrite will spawn into the world every three hours, allowing you to find which time works best for your schedule to get to the Starlight Observatory Tower and wait with a handful of other players for its arrival. Yo🃏u can find a more detailed outline of the Gigantrite's timetable below🍌!

Please note that the times above a🥂re directly from the game, hence the 24-hour format. If you are unsure of what time it is for you, you can check that by looking at the top right of the Event Schedule tab in the Map. - Additionally, the Gigantrite is a bit glitchy at the moment, so it may not always spawn in every three hours. So be patient if it doesn't show up, and just hope for the best next time!
How To Mount The Gigantrite
Now that you have its schedule mapped out, it's time to patiently wait at the highest point of the Starlight Observatory Tower and wait for the Gigantrite to approach. You will see it off in the distance and will gradually see it make its way over to you. It's r🌺ather exciting, 🍎and the in-game chat will likely express this sentiment as it nears closer.
As it approaches the Starlight Observatory Tower, leap off it, instantly activate your Glide Morph, and soar onto its massive body. You can land on its flippers or its back; either is fine. Just make sure you're above it before descending onto it. Successfully landing on it will display the 'Mounted the Divine Beast' message on your screen.
Depending on how many people are attempting to get on the Gigantrite, you may notice some heavy server lag, such as rubberꦉbanding, particularly when you're airborne. This can lead to less-than-ideal conditions for trying to land on it, so make absolute certain you are above the Divine Beast before landing, or you may just get flung off due to unfortunate lag.
What's On The Gigantrite?
So you waited all this time, took the leap of faith, and are now atop the enormous Gigantrite. Now what? You can do a few things here, with Mining Ore being one of them. Many Marind Ore veins will be on the Gigantrite's back, with many more spawning periodically throughout its visit, so be sure to keep moving aroun๊d to see if any spaw🍨n in.
Marind Ore veins on the Gigantrite can drop Quality Marind Ore and even Rare Marind Ore, making it an excellent way to farm lots of this material, whiཧch will come in handy when crafting equipment.
There will also be these large chunks of stone that require Vitalstones to interact with. These stone-looking objects are actually wounds on the Gigantrite's back, and you can use Vitalstones to patch them back up. Doing this will reward you with Stellarite Element or even
Quality Stellarite Element.
Stellarite Element can be used to obtain Stellarite from Stellarite Chests or Quality Stellarite Chests by visiting Sundries Crafting NPCs in towns. You can also get a unique Amitoi on the Gigantrite, but we will cover that in another section furt𝕴her below!
Saurodoma Island Waypoint
Another benefit of riding on the Gigantrite is you can unlock the Saurodoma Island Waypoint. This is the only way you can obtain this Waypoint, but it requires you to stay on the Divine Beast until the very end. While you can't stay on it the entire time, as it will either dive into the water or pass over the island, you will reachꦫ a point where you aren't too far away from the island.
Wait until you receive the 'Gigantrite's Blessing effect on Solisium ends' message, then wait several seconds afterward. The Divine Beast should move forward quite a bit more, placing you in a prime position to reach the island. Once you're in a good spot, leap off the horn of the Gigantrite and use your Glide Morph to fly toward Saurodoma Island.
Due to the height and the distance, you should not have to Speed Up or Ascend here. Just calmly coast across the clouds until you are over the island. Once you're above Saurodoma Island, use the Descend action to touch down on the tall, flat tree. Once here, activate its Waypoint,𝔉 watch the cutscene, and enjoy the stunning views.
How To Obtain The Snow White Cutie Yeddy Amitoi In Throne And Liberty
Before you board the Gigantrite for the first time, you may want to wait until after you activate the Nesting Ground Waypoint, as that will give you access to the Little Friend in the Sky side quest. Once you have access to this quest, complete the first few steps before mounting the Divine Beast.
Someone's Note
Follow the waypoint just outside of the Starlight Observatory Tower and read Someone's Note, which will introduce you to an Amitoi. However, you don't know its whereabouts just yet, so push onward to the nex♉t step.
Someone's Diary
After gathering Someone's Note, it's time to read Someone's Diary, which is found just north of where you obtained the Note. So, follow the waypoint north and read the Diary to learn the Amitoi's whereabouts. And, surprise, it's aboard the Gigantrite, allowing you to find it on its back after landing on i🥃t.
You must complete the first two steps of this side quest before boarding the Gigantrite to obtain the Amitoi. If you mount the Divine Beast before then, you will be able to see it but cannot interact with it, an๊d you will have to reboard it after you've progressed this quest up t🐼o this point!
Retrieve The Powerless Little Doll On The Gigantrite
With the Little Friend in the Sky progressed up to this point, you can now safely mount the Gigantrite and begin searching for the Yeddi Amitoi. It should be on the right-hand side of the Gigantrite, on top of a large rock near the edge of the Divine Beast. Interact with it to claim it and complete the quest!
If you're having trouble locating it, head back toward the tail, then turn around and face the front of the Divine Beast so that your back is now toward the tail. From here, move up the right-hand side of the Gigantrite. As soon as you move past the first flipper on the right, the Yeddi Amitoi will be directly to your right on an elevated rock.
Do not listen t☂o anyone in the chat; it will always spawn here. If you cannot interact with it, ensure you are caught up on the Litt🔜le Friend in the Sky side quest, as you won't be able to unless you've progressed this questline.
