It finally feels like🉐 is getting back to its pre-PSN debacle pace, a w💝elcome return to form for players who have been eager to see the game’s story get back on track. Let’s dive into the plot developments and community memes for this week.

The Second Galactic War Begins

Alas, despite the community’s general positivity about Operation Metallic Harvest, players were unable to kill two billion Automatons in the 🌄time frame given. Operation Organic Harvest, an earlier mission to kill two billion Terminids was completed in less than a da♈y, but it was announced later that this was actually the result of a bug that recorded kills wrongly.

To be fair, we were warned that this operation would be much harder since✨ kills weren’t being artificially inflated. Completing this Major Order would have given us Anti-Tank Mines, but we failed at 78 percent, so this weapon has slipped out of our hands again for the time being.

Right after this, a new Major Order was announced, forebodingly calꦅled ‘✨Declaration of the Second Galactic War’. I was under🥂 the impression that we were already fighting it, but sure. The briefing announced that the Government of Super Earth had “officially declared war on all agents of Tyranny” and that all actions sꦯo far have actually just been “special military operations”.

In order to feed the ‘new’ war effort and train new conscripts, SEAF training facilities were to be set up on Aesir Pass, Vernen Wells, Heath, and Angel’s Venture. We had to hold these planets until the Major Order was completed, which, thankfully, we managed, breaking our losℱing streak established with the last two Orders.

The debr🍃iefing given to players on completion said that the Training Facilities would ensure a “steady flow” of SEAF support as long as those planets remain under Super Earth control. If they’re lost, SEAF support will decrease, making future missions more difficult. That’s definitely going to be an issue in the future.

Our current major order is Operation Freedom’s Calling, which details that the young, old, and “pr🃏eviously-infirm” are being put to work creating munitions since able-bodied, appropriately aged citizens have all already been put on the front lines. Bleak! To celebrate the citizenry uniting to destroy Super Earth’s enemies, Helldivers have to kill 3.141 billion enemies of any species. This gives players a little more flexibility in which planets they want to defend.

3.141 is also fam▨ously the value of Pi – I am not sure what significance this hꦜas.

The Eagle 500kg Bomb, a personal favourite stratagem, has been temporarily made free to all Divers for these pu🥃rposes. At the time of writing, there are three days left to go before the Order expires and just under 40 percent of the required enemies have been killed, so it’s not loo🌳king too bad.

The Conspiracy Theories Keep Coming

Image of the Hulk Warlord Automaton overlaying the launch key art of Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 thrives on leaving little clues around for players to find and blow up into massive speculation, and that’s not going to stop anytime soon. Right now, players are convinced that Warlords from the original Helldivers are going to be added to the game at some point. One Reddit user has posted ♑evidence of what appears to be decommissioned Warlords on the Automaton frဣontline, with other users saying they’ve seen the same popping up in recent day๊s. Some players do think these are just Hulks &ndash🔯; it’s hard to say for sure.

Warlords ⛄are described as being the top of Cyborg society – as the Cyborgs in Cyberstan were freed by the Automatons a few weeks ago, it’s entirely possible that these are indeed what they appear to be.

Also, supporting previous leaks about Super Earth blowing a planet up and potentially instigating the full-blown return of the Illuminate, a player has found dialogue🅷 that claims Super Earth is building some kind of superweapon. Apparently, if you chat with your crew members on your Super Destroyer, they migꦉht mention a rumour they heard about a “secret superweapon being worked on by our top scientists”. Foreboding, if true!

Armour Woes, AI Joel, And Wholesome Memes

Just like last week, players are still expressing displeasure at the most recent Warbond. The Polar Patriot Warbond left many players disappointed, with some members of the community requesting that Warbonds be released less frequently so the additions could be more meaningful. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armour, in🌄 particular, is a sore point, with one player posting two armour sets on Reddit that 𒀰are practically identical apart from the colours. I don’t personally care all that much about Warbonꦆd content, but it’s a valid criticism nonetheless.

Also just like last week, players are still disappointed that Helldivers 2 hasn’t been relisted on Steam in every country si𒅌nce it was removed from nearly 200 during the PSN controversy. That said, it’s been relisted in a few regions, including American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands – all territories of the US. It’s still unclear when it will return to other storefronts.

In a discussion on the game’s official Discord server, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt made it clear that players who have already bought the game will be able to play “forever” even if the game has been delisted in their region. Interestingly, this sparked a discussion about what “forever” means with a live service game and if that just meant until servers shut down, and Pilestedt respon💙ded that it would be playable forever if it was up to him.

He then revealed that he’s thought about scenarios for Helldivers 2’s future and what the studio would do to keep the game running without develope🤪rs, and said the team would “build automation on the gamemaster and other features”, essentially replacing game master Joel with an AI. It’s an intriguing idea, though I’m not convinced AI would be able to do as good a job as Joel at shaping a compelling war narrative.

Also, if you missed it, a very cute and sad interaction between two Helldivers 2 players went viral this weekend. In a typo-ridden series of messages, a player named Tolga told another player dremskiy that they were playing 𓄧friends only, apolo👍gised, and said they had to kick dremskiy. dremskiy responses, “im frend”, to which Tolga said, “dontmake this more difficult”. Alas, dremskiy was kicked, but it became a meme within the community. After all, are we not all frend?

Helldivers 2’s community managers are always on top of what’s going on in the community, and adorably, there is now a ‘Frend of Dremskꦡiy’ vanity role available in the ꦿDiscord. Just go to the Channels and Roles section in the server, click “Yes, im frend” under the question “Would you like to let everyone know you are a Frend of Dremskiy?” and you’ll get the role. It’s very cute.

Helldivers 2 is the sequel to the third-person shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios. This time out, the Helldivers are deep in the Galactic War, and it's up to you to bring Managed Democracy to the masses.
