I know I say this every week, but Sweet Liberty, the week has been packed with developments. From the crushing of the Automatons and a new Warbond, to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cloaked ships in the sky and a pretty severe crashing problem, there’s a lot to go over. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Arrowhead Wants You To “Let Democracy Lie”
I’m putting this at the top because it’s the most pressing. As I was in the midst of a series of difficult operations this weekend, accompanied by a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:su🌳rprisin𝓰gly competent group of strangers, victory felt assured. My first few ventures into playing on Hard had been going very well,🌠 and I was all set to get my hard-earned rewards. And then as I turned my Quasar Cannon towards my next target, I found myself unceremoniously ejected to the start screen. For the first time in weeks, my game had crashed.
It turns out this wasn’t an isolated incident – there have💝 been widespread crashes since t𝓰he latest patch rolled out, and there won’t be a hotfix till at least Monday. These crashes tend to happen during extraction, though mine didn’t. Helldivers 2 community manager Twinbeard posted to the official Discord server that Arrowhead is aware of the crashes, apologised for t👍he under-communication, and sa🏅id there’s a hotfix arriving “very soon”. He also said not to worry, and that the game we all love “will be here waiting even if you let democracy lie for a few days." Maybe keep an eye out for a hotfix announcement before starting any big operations.
The Bots Are Dead, Long Live The Illuminate
This section is going to be a doozy – the ever-developing lore of Helldivers 2 has taken a surprise turn. Last week, we failed a Major Order that compromised the success of our attempt to eradicate the Automatons, but the community ma♍de a huge comeback this week.
First of all, due to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an ingenious and timely Major Order, Malevelon Creek was liberated from Automaton control and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:our f🐈allen compatr🌸iots were finally avenged. This is such a momentous event that Arrowhead canonised it in the lore, making April 3 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Malevelon Creek Memorial Day. The developers even issued all players a sick commemorative c😼ape.

𓂃 Helldivers 2 Reminds Us That Real War Is Pointless
We’re all locked in an endless st🦹alemate, looking for symbolic wins while millions die
After that, Operation Swift Disassembly continued, working around our failure to take Tibit. First, we had to maintain control of Malevelon Creek, Ubanea, and Draupnir, which was successful. Then we were told to enter the final phase of the operation: Annihilation. We were to completely eradicate the Automatons, taking Maia, Tibit, and Durgen under control. There were some serious doubts that we could do this at all, considering that our last attempt to take control of multiple planets failed because 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:people just hate fighting bots. Low player numbers on Durgen and Tibit indicated that we might not win the battle after all, but it seemed that the community was taking a more strategic approach this time. Players were swarm♉ing planets ꦅindividually instead of all at once, speedily liberating each in turn instead of spreading out across all three planets.
And aga🍒inst all odds, it worked. In a dispatch posted to the Discord server, High Command told us that the “socialist Automatons have been purged from their last, desperate footholds within our galaxy” and that because Operation Swift Disassembly succeeded, “the Bot Reclamation is never to prevail”. The Galactic War seems to be going awfully well for us, and the newest Major Order has us going back to the Terminid front and liberating Hellmire, Estanu and Crimsica for the safe construction of new E-710 farms.
E-710 is oil for Faster Than Light travel. It’s harvested fro🍸m dead Term🎃inid bodies.
What does this mean for the future of Helldivers 2? Well, players have been seeing cloaked warships in the sky over Automaton planets for a week now, hinting at the possibility of a surprise Illuminate incursion. The Illuminate was a major faction in the first Helldivers game, a highly sophisticated civilisation that players strongly suspect are going to show up soon. I, like many players, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:have seen signs that they might already be arou😼nd. Mark my words, now that the Automaton▨s have seemingly been eradicated, we’re going to see the return of the Illuminate. I bet it’ll happen after the crashes have been fixed.
Bring Back The Automatons Please
It’s a shame that the Automatons are gone for now, because I was loving the bot gameplay that recent patches had introduced. I already kind of miss it. Automaton gunships were fun as hell to take down, especially with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Quasar Cannon I unlocked over the weekend – hidi꧟ng behind a rock from their searching spotlights and shooting them right out of the sky was incredibly satisfying. There were also terrifyingly big Factory Striders roaming around that looked like Star Wars AT-ATs.
With the Automatons wiped out, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Platinum is impossible to get.
Apart from that, Arrowhead also 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:raised the level cap to 150, giving hardcore divers a new benchmark to strive for and a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cheeky Starship Troopers reference to appreciate. I’m not even close to 50 yet, but I’m looking forward to 🦩seeing what cool new weapons I’ll be able to unlock as I ꦫtry to reach this new cap.
New Warbond, New Ways To Blow Yourself Up
Arrowhead has also announced a new Warbond coming up this week, this one focusing on explosive weapons, so make sure to . The Warbond includes Exploding Crossbows, Grenade Pistols, and a booster to lower the time for your extraction shuttle to reach the extraction beacon, which is very handy. But it mostly has stuff that explodes, which means plenty of new ways to accidentally kill yourself, as if there weren’t enough. If you don’t want to blow y🍌ourself up, there’s even armour with explosive resistance to protect you from the devastating power of a rogue stratagem💮.
Helldivers 2 is the sequel to the third-person shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios. This time out, the Helldivers are deep in the Galactic War, and it's up to you to bring Managed Democracy to the masses.
