No man is an island, and no matter how much of a loner the White Wolf is, he's still somewhat reliant on the many side characters of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher series. From the first game 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to the third, Gera🌼lt of Rivia has proven that sometimes the world can be too much for him to handle alone; thankfully, he has friends and allies-- and sometimes frenemies, who have somehow helped him through thick and thin.

The books and the third game (which is the most faithful to the books) mostly features the stories of either Geralt, Ciri, or Yennefer, making the three the actual main characters canonically. Regardless, all three of them most likely wouldn't have made it were🧸 it not for these 10 supporting characters... except Yennefer, maybe, she's way too independent.

10 LETHO OF ꧟GULET

letho_of_gulet_witcher3

We did mention frenemies, right? Letho of Gulet fits the profile way too well. He was the initial main antagonist of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Letho went around killing kings in all the Northerღn Realms to sow chaos and weaken them for the upcoming Nilfgaardian invasion.

In the end, however, Geralt (or the players) can cho🐓ose to forgive him for this because apparently, Letho did it for🙈 the promise of his Witcher School of the Viper being rebuilt by Emperor Emhyr. If you do find it in your heart to excuse this regicidal behavior, Letho will be on your side forever. Oh, and he also helped save both Geralt and Yennefer from the Wild Hunt.

9 TRISS MERIGOLD ✤

Triss has always been jealous of what Yennefer had with Geralt, which is why in the first a🌠nd second game, she tried to manipulate an am🉐nesiac Geralt into thinking they were lovers. Basically, she tried to replace Yennefer. This made Triss quite deplorable and unlikable in the first game and only slightly better in the second.

Come the third game, however, Triss fully redeemed herself. Not only did she come to terms with what she did to Geralt but she also improved dramatically by saving all the magic practitioners in Novigrad from Radovid's witch hunts. This was a noble and selfless act on Triss' part, making her somewhat on par with Yennefer as a full-fledged 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:romantic choice for Geralt in The Witcher 3.

8 ꧙ PHILIP STRENGER/THE BLOODY BARON

witcher 3 baron roughed up

Philip Strenger a.k.a. the Bloody Baron, or otherwise known by Game of Thrones fans as emo Robert Baratheon, is by far one of the most conflicting characters in The Witcher 3. H🌄e has more depth than most of the lords and ladies you meet and someone whom you likely won't forget especially once you finish his portion of the main qu🍸est.

Whether you can sympathize with Strenger's plight and woes or you find them inexcusable, there's no doubt that he was a well-written character. It's a good thing he's part of the main quest since missing him would have made The Witcher 3's early sections a lot less interesting.

7 VESEMIR

vesemir Witcher 3

As far as father figures go, Vesemir was Geralt's. He's the closest thing to family Geralt ever had and even taught the orphaned boy everything he knew about witchering. Being the leader of the Witcher ⭕School of the Wolf, Vesemir was responsible for the success of his proteges and he still managed to keep the school intact regardless of how hard that was.

One of the best things about Vesemir in-game was how the developers kept the ori🌊ginal voice actor from the first game until the third. He's been surmised to be more than a century old by the third game and it shows through his patꦇience in dealing with Yennefer's condescending demeanor. and quelling some disagreements within his witcher school.

6 LAMBERT

via:plank-69.deviantart.com

Lambert is one of the youngest members of the School of the Wolf and also the most temperamental. He was already quiꦰte clever as a boy by a witcher yanked him out of his regular life to become one as well. This made Lambert bi♋tter as he grew up to become a witcher since he believes it was the shorter end of the stick compared to his old life.

That explains much of Lambert's crass and rude behavior towards 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the sorceresses Trཧiss Merigold, Yennefer, and even some of his witcher colleagues. When push comes to shove, how𝓰ever, you'll find no other loyal friend like Lambert who still has a soft spot in his heart for Vesemir, his fellow witchers, and friends. Really, this witcher deserves his own video game.

5 IORVETH

iorveth witcher 3 storylines

Racism is a topic which all three Witcher games cover quite symbolically and in a relevant manner. Most of the time, the discriminatory spotlight falls onto the non-humans of the Witcher universe, like the elves, dwarfs, and others. Someone got fed up with that and formed his own rebellion called the Scoia'tael (elven𝔍 for squirrel), and one of their leaders is none other than Iorveth.

In The Witcher 2, Iorveth represents one of the two big choices and factions you'll have to join by the game's second act. Iorveth stands for justice, racial harmony, and to punish the perpetrators of racial crimes in the Northern Kingdoms, regardless of whether they are King or beggar. Still, his ra🦋dical views have led him to work with Letho of Gulet in regicide, though his reasons are quite well-justified.

4 VERNON ROCHE 🌳

Witcher 3 Roche

Vernon Roche is the other "big" choice you have to make in The Witcher 2, opposite of Iorveth. Between the two, it's a tough choice as Iorveth's ideals are more noble while Vernon's mission to ♍uncover 🍰King Foltest's regicide plot is what saved Geralt in the first place from a public execution. Apart from that, he's just a cool dude who looks after his own men, Geralt included (assuming he joins him).

Roche was also present in the third game due to his significant role in Temeria as a Blue Stripes commander (Temeria's elite). There he remains as reliable as ever as he he🌞lps Geralt undermine Radovid's grasp on the Northern Kingdoms while using guerilla tactics to fight Nilfgaard as well🎉.

3 🍨 𓂃 SIGISMUND DIJKSTRA

Sigismund Dijkstra from Witcher 3

Since King♏ Foltest is dead, Sigismund Dijkstra remains the only true friend to Geralt in a high place-- though "true" might be a bit of a stretch; Dijkstra always changes 𝓰sides like flipping a coin. That pretty much means he'll betray everyone, including Geralt, as long as he gets the upper hand or the better deal for his goals (which are luckily for the good of his homeland).

Still, Dijkstra is a fair friend, he knows that Geralt might and will betray him anytime and knows it's nothing personal, just regular business-- even if it cost him his leg or his life; he still treats Geralt as an equal. As such, the argument that he's a "true" friend still stands. Geralt might lose a lot of sleep (and hair) staying friends with Dijkstra, but you'll find no other moreꦫ interesting and dynamic friend than this spymaster.

2 ﷽ ꦫ ZOLAN CHIVAY

a dangerous game hidden quest witcher 3

Zoltan Chivay is one of Geralt's longest non-human frien൲ds who have stuck with him in the toughest of times. The bond between these two go way back in the books and was strengthened to be unbreakable once Geralt defended non-humans against a racially-charged human riot.

For Geralt, Zoltan represented many lucky things; in fact, Geralt got his sword, Sihil, quite soon aft꧒er their first meeting. This makes Zoltan one of Geralt's longest and most loyal c꧑omrades as well as a good friend (and adoptive uncle) to Ciri.

1 DANDELION

Dandelion from The Witcher III

No other human being has overseen Geralt's journey and monster-slaying adventures more than the bard and troubadour, Dandelion (or Jaskier, for your book purists). In the books and in the games as well, Dandelion often accompanies Geralt in search of monsters and tales to tell and make songไs about... and because he's also equal💫ly poor and hungry as Geralt.

These two ha🌃ve been through so much together that Dandelion probably knows more about Geralt's life than Ciri does. Their philosophical banter (in the books), monster-hunting misadventures, and Dandenlion's penchant for getting into trouble (romantic or otherwise) is something that deserves its ꦓown video game. We can only hope that CDProjekt RED explores this notion further.
