Gosh, Ciri is just the worst, isn’t she? I almost can’t believe that she’s becoming the protagonist of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher 4, despite that always bein꧅g the inওtention, alongside her central role in the entire series as far back as 1992.

Okay, no, I don’t care about Ciri being the lead of The Witcher 4 because, believe it or not, I’m a fan of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher series. In fact, I’d go as far as to say I’m actually stoked she’s taking the reins of the follow-up to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:2015’s Wild Hunt. She’s a fantastic character with plenty of untapped potential and a complex arc🐈 of being trained by Witchers despite not being one herself - at least, not at first, as .

But all that said, I couldn’t stand Ciri in The Witcher 3. Not because of her character or her performance or because she’s, gasp, a woman, but simply h𒁃er mannerisms - something The Witcher 4 has already addressed.

Ciri Was Naive And Big-Headed, By Design

I’m not just talking about those memories of Ciri as a child at the start of the game because, yes, she’s an annoying kid. But so are most kids. Instead, it’s when she’s helping Gretka with the Wolf King - or more accurately, just a lycanthrope. Suddenly, this chi𓆉ld looks up to her for help, and so she steps up.

Hands on hips, with a can-do, ‘we’ll solve this together!’ attitude, she inspires the child. Okay, cool, playing the storybook hero for a kid to keep them from being terrified is not♍ unusual. The problem is, this wasn’t just situational - that’s how she acts in most scenes of this game. She’s loud, full of gestures in every moment, and maybe a bit too full of her Elder Blood powers. She’s always playing the part of a storybook hero.

It makes sense that I can’t stand her for these mannerisms. She’s been raised by a horrible man (who happens to be the emperor), while also being raised by Witchers who are notably infamous with a global reputation through the ages. These aspects, alongside th෴e wars she’s been subjected to and the ‘chosen one’ treatment for her 🦂special abilities, mean it makes sense she might act more like a hero she’s read about than a normal person. She’s The Witcher’s very own Anakin Skywalker, only we know that didn’t go well.

Now, She’s Older, Bolder, And Colder - But Still Ciri

However, rather tha𒐪n continuing with this naivety or slipping down the Anakin slope entirely (after all, the Witches of Crookback Bog already dealt wit♔h the younglings), The Witcher 4’s reveal trailer and show how Ciri has changed in the years since The Witcher 3, while not becoming an entirely different character.

She retains that vigor and arrogance, but she’s lost the comically he♌roic behaviour. Instead, she’s more in line with Geralt 🍸and Vesemir than she’s ever been, carrying on the legacy of the Witchers in a new age. Perhaps she changed in the time following the events of Wild Hunt, and perhaps some of that change came from the effects of the Trial of the Grasses.

Either way, Ciri’s growth from Wild Hunt to The Witcher 4 is evident, an꧃d only makes me love the character that much more. Now, I can’t wait to return to the world of monster hunting.
