Now, the devs have shed some more light on what this means and what they're aiming to cr🍰eate.

The Witcher 4 Devs Explain What The Tech Demo Means For The Final Game

Speaking with Digital Foundry, several developers from CDPR and Epic Games answered some questions about the tech demo and ಞThe Witcher 4's development. Here, they're asked about the consistent 60FPS that Digital Foundry experienced when they tested the demo out for themselves, and it turns out that this isn't set in stone right now.

"At this stage, we are pe♉rfectly aware that we still have a lot of work ahead of us," says Charles Tremblay, VP of technology at CDPR. "This is a tech demo. [𝄹...] There's no combat, there's a lot of things that [don't] work, but still, the ambition is set.

"This is where we want to aim and we'll be damned if we don't try to get this game in performance," he continues. "It's too early to say i𒐪f we manage to nail it, but we'll work as hard as we can to make it, for sure."
