Out of all the places you go in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher 3, Toussaint is by far the most unique. The duchy lacks the weariness that defines Velen, the religious oppression that can be felt everywher𝓰e in Novigrad, and its people are far more welcoming than even the friendliest Skelliger.

This becomes apparent🦂 in your introduction to the region through the quest, The Beast Of Toussaint. In it, Geralt returns to Toussaint after several long years and a bout of amnesia for his new contract. It's got two tough boss fights and an entire investigation. We've got a travel guide prepared here if you're feeling lost.

Windmills And Golyat

A knight crawls away as a windmill collapses on a giant.

You get your first taste of Toussaint's fairytale atmosphere shortly after arriving in the duchy proper, by watching a knight seem to joust a windmill only for a giant to burst through theꦚ structure and send the boy reeling.

Your first battle with a monster begins moments later, against a giant named Golyat. The monster will use a millstone like a club, swinging it at Geralt like a blunt instrument and to 🎶kick up clouds of deadly🗹 debris.

Golyat has the usual weaknesses that ogroids share, namely a vulnerability to Ogroid Oil and a general lack of agility.

If you are a crack shot, you can try to shoot Golyat in the eye. Not only will this instantly slay the monster, but it will also award the achievement David and Golyat. The shattered barrel on its head will make it a tough shot that you can rectify with Lightning Reflexes or Northern Wind.

Golyat is not particularly difficult and can be beaten by taking advantage of its slow attacks and ensuring that Quen is up. While a single hit is devastating, av🃏oiding such hits should not be difficult.

The knights and Geralt will regroup after defeating the giant, with the young knight Guillaume allowing Geralt to take the trophy. After introductions are made, Guillaume tells the group that the Beast has killed a third knight. Geralt and Milton head off to investigate the scene before it goes co൲ld while Palmerin and Guillaume leave for 𒅌the tourney.

Follow Milton on horseback to the Cockatrice Inn to start searching.

Investigating The Cockatrice Inn

The inn is just a short ride away. Geralt and Milton head directly for the shore, where the most recent body was discovered. While the duchess' men have already cleared the area, there are some clues remaining, starting with the footprints in the sand.

They lead the pair to the crime scene where a group of scurvers have come to feast. These monsters will have to be killed before you can start investigating.

Scurvers are essentially spiked rotfiends that have similar abilities to their northern cousins. When near death, a scurver will stop attacking for a few seconds before exploding in a shower of spikes. This burst can easily kill Geralt, especially on higher difficulties.

While the guardsmen have taken most of the evidence from the scene, they've overlooked a monogrammed handkerchief in the river, snagged on the nets. Fish it out of the water and show it to Milton.

He recognizes its owner, reflecting on his past exploits with the murdered man. Before the mood is completely ruined, he suggests going to the Cockatrice to interview witnesses before continuing.

The Inn hasn't got any crayfish chowder thanks to the body ruining the catch. That said, there's still much to be learned at the Inn's conversation. By the end of it, Geralt will head to Corvo Bianco to inspect the body himself.

The conversation won't be altered by any choices Geralt makes, though this is a good time to ask as many questions as you can. Toussaint's culture iℱs practically alien to nordlings and will need some time to adjust to.

Fighting The Bruxa At Corvo Bianco

A screenshot of Geralt looking at a set of footprints in a cellar next to a dismembered corpse.

The victim's body isn't done attracting monsters. By the time you arrive at the vineyard, a new monster has slaughtered its way through the guards, and i🌱nto the cellar where the body has been kept.

Run into the open cellar, following the gory trail of corpses to confront the monster, a bruxa. This is a kind of vampire that has exceptional agility and a deadly scream. She takes the time to lock Geralt in the cellar before trying to kill him.

Aside from Vampire Oil, you will want to prepare Moon Dust bombs and, if you expect to get hit, Black Blood. The former will disrupt her invisibility with a Superior Moon Dust bomb disabling it entirely.

Black Blood is riskier but can stagger her if she hits Geralt. It's not ideal, but if you expect to get hit, it will open new opportunitieꦏs in combat for you.

Geralt walks into a wine cellar, with a monster off-screen.

Bruxae are far tougher than your standard monsters. Do everything possible to avoid her fast and hard-hitting attacks and pay attention to her screams. That attack will easily reach Geralt from across thꦦe cellar, dealing immense da🐻mage in the process.

While you could attempt to evade the sonic blast, it's also an ideal time to counterattack. While she's bracing herself to scream you can stagger her with Igni or Aard, giving you a window to damage her instead.

After slaying her, you will finally get to investigate the corpse. Geralt's autopsy will uncover a pouch of coins and an unusual severed hand that doesn't belong to the victim. With the investigation done, you travel to the tourney to meet Gౠeralt's new employer and old acquaintance, D꧂uchess Anna Henrietta.

Fighting The Shaelmaar

A screenshot of Geralt listening to a knight talk to some children.

You will find Palemerin imparting his knightly ways on a crowd of impressionable children at the tourney grounds. Not to be interrupted, he will ask Geralt for his wisdom before you can move on to the business at hand.

Reinforcing the Toussaint way of life or injecting northern cynicism is up to you. He will try to bring Geralt to the duchess before the first battle begins to no avail. Guillaume is already preparing to fight a shaelmaar by the time you reach the stairs.

A large gray monster collapses in the dirt as Geralt stands triumphantly behind it in the background.

For all of his chivalric valor, he is no witcher and is almost killed. Geralt leaps into the arena to save his life, pitti♉ng you a♚gainst the main attraction in another boss fight.

This new monster is a blind, subterranean creature that uses its surprising speed and tough hide to its advantage. The key to this battle is to stun the monster, breaking its defensive stance꧂ and giving you a window to deal damage.

Its reliance on sound opens some useful opportunities for you. You can use Aard on the arena's walls to bait the monster into smashing into the wall. This will stun it and give you a chance to deal damage.

After besting the beast, Geralt will be asked to end its life, giving you a choice on following through.

While there are no immediate rewards, either way, sparing it will help you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:get Aerondight, a unique and powerful sword.

With your audience with the duchess earned in spectacular fashion, Geralt is brought to meet Damien de la Tour, captain of the Ducal Guard and person in charge of the investigation.

After agreeing on Geralt's reward and giving him the keys to Corvo Bianco, the group deduces that Milton is the next victim and rushes to a treasure hunt to save him.

Solving The Riddle In The Beast Of Toussaint

Geralt follows the Duchess onto a balcony as she explains the treasure hunt to him.

The duchess does not bother maintainin𝕴g decorum, leading Geralt through her own city on hor🧜seback to reach the gardens in the shortest time possible, to the shock of just about everyone witnessing the act.

At the gardens, she tells Geralt that the treasure hunt has three clues. She will handle the Phoenix Egg, while Geralt will secure the Unicorn's Horn and Golden Fish. The pair split up.

Getting The Unicorns' Horn

Geralt reaches towards a horn taped to a horse's forehead in Toussaint.

This rare and majestic creature is not in Toussaint. Instead, you have to take a prop horn from a white horse. It's closer to the starting point than the fish and should be your first port of call.

You will need to calm the horse to take the horn. There are two ways to do this, either by offering it a treat or by casting Axii on it.

The quickest way to solve this challenge would be to cast Axii as soon as you can. Not only will this let Geralt take the horn immediately, but you will also be able to ride the horse to the lake.

How To Find The Golden Fish

A screenshot of Geralt swimming next to a golden fish highlighted in red with his Witcher Senses.

This aquatic prize is submerged in the lake. You will need to find it among the other fake fish underwater.

While Geralt's Witcher Senses will mark all fish in red, only one fish is correct. The rest contain other, less important prizes.

The fish you are looking for is the westernmost one. Pick it up and find the duchess to continue.

Solving The Riddle

A screenshot of Geralt and Annarietta solving a riddle, with five options for the player to select.

Having triumphed over both challenges, you arrive just in time to see the Duchess use her authority to secure the Phoenix Egg. After opening all the clues, you will compare clues to find out where Milton is hiding.

The Duchess will figure the answer out, even if you get it wrong.

The current answer is the greenhouse. As soon as you realize, the pair will run to save Milton, only to arrive too late and start the quest Blood Run.
