That's what challenges are here for. There are tons of challenges created by the community for Sims fans to take part in, from popular ones to the most obscu🐓re ones. The Zombie Aftermath challenge makes great use of the Strangerville pack, making a creepy but satisfying legacy challenge.
Zombie Aftermath Challenge Rules
The , created originally by Cannibalcupcake for The Sims 3 and updated for The Sims 4 by Prismauke, lets your Sims survive a zombie apocalypse. It makes use of the Strangerville pack, along with Seasons, Get Together, Outdoor Retreat, aღnd Jung🍎le Adventure.
If you don't have every one of these packs, you can still enjoy this challenge. The only one completely necessary is Strangerville, as it includes the world and the Si෴ms that act as zombies.
There are no mods allowed in this challenge. You're also not allowed to use any money cheats or skill cheats. All skills must be gained on your own. You also cannot alter relationships using cheats either. Apart from the initial money cheat to set household funds, avoid cheats for the entire playthrough.
How To Start Zombie Aftermath Challenge
Begin by demolishing all the lots in Strangerville. You'll want to evict every household, as well. This will leave just possessed Sims, who act as zombies. Choose any lot you'd like to play on, although a large lot will allow you to build a bigger camp. Then, build a large fence that encompasses your entire lot.
Once the lot has been chosen and the fence built, it's time to create your starting family. You need a young couple to begin. They can be any race and appearance that you'd like. While most of t💯he traits are randomized, there are some traits you'll nꦉeed.
Traits Needed For Zombie Aftermath Challenge
You'll need each Sim in your legacy to have at least one of these traits to survive:
- genius
- family-oriented (founder female sim must have)
- active
- loves the outdoors
- paranoid
- geek
- ambitious
- bookworm
- perfectionist
- creative
- self-assured
- neat
These traits are ones none of your Sims can have or else they will be killed by the zombies:
- hot-headed
- clumsy
- lazy
- childish
- loner
Once your young adult couple has been made, place them on your chosen lot and use cheats to set their household funds to 1,000 Simoleons. This marks the beginning of the Zo🎀mbie Aftermath Challenge, which includes five generations.
You can open the cheat console by hitting Ctrl + Shift + C, then type "money 1000" to set the household funds to exactly𒆙 1,000 Simoleons. This is the only cheat you can use during the entire challenge.
Each goal in the current generation allows you to earn points for rewards. These rewards can be anything from extra items for survival to perks like being able to shower at any time to unlocking counters and fridges. Each reward costs a certain amount of points before you can unlock it.

These items are all you're allowed to begin with. From here, you Sims need to attempt to make a life in the midst of a horrible apocalypse. They will need to have at least one child, and they'll need to stay in the camp (the fenced-in lot) for the majority of the time🐷.
Beginning in Stage Zero, your home base lot must be Off The Grid. The power grid has been shut off, so there is no electricity available. Use ✱the Off The Grid lot trait on your camp to make sure no electrical items work.

Things are safer now, with a secure camp keeping out zombies. This allows your Sim to pursue knowledge, and beco꧙me a doctor. Your Sim, however, makes no time for connections by 🅘only having one child and no spouse. Make sure to put work into building up your skills instead of relationships.

This stage adds a bit of chaos to the generations. There are tons of criminals running around, and your Sim gets to be one of them. Make sure to make all your friends with coworkers, as they are the gang your Sim is in.
The most important thing to focus on at this stage is to bond with your child, so yo🍃u can be sure to pick one of their traits as they get older. This will let you choose from one of the required traits.
Stage Three Rewards
These are the available rewards while completing Stage Three:

The final stage in the challenge is all about creating a vaccine. The city is much safer now thanks to the milit๊ary, and your Sim wants to save the rest of the world by curing it. This stage will last as many generations as it takes to produce a vaccine.
This stage is one of the most difficult, solely because of the randomized chance of yo𒆙ur Sim living or becoming a zombie. There is a high chance your Sim will pass away before completing the vaccine. This is why it is best to have children first, so they can continue the research as a backup in case your Sim perishes.
