At Cupid's Counseling, you'll be able to sit down with a trained professional to talk through what's bothering your Sim in their relationship. Their partner gets a chance to speak too, though - communication is a🅘 two-way street! Hopefully you can work things out.

How Does Cupid's Counseling Work?

A Sim unimpressed by her romantic partner in The Sims 4 Lovestruck.

If your Sim has a romantic partner (or a few) in their lives, it's only naturally that things might get tough or stale sometime down the line - and that's fine! Before they decide to call it quits, though, consider checking out couple's counseling through Cupid's Corner.

To do this, navigate to the Cupid's Corner app on either your Sim's phone or a nearby PC, and you'll see the option to Go to Cupid's Counseling with (Partner) on the menu. This will cost §1,000 Simoleons, but isn't love worth fighting for?

When the counseling session begins, the counselor will ask your Sim how they're feeling, and they follow it up by asking the partner Sim the same question in a series of pop-ups after your Sims leave their current lot 🍌to head o⛎ut.

After that, the counselor will ask what about your relationship you'd like to discuss while they have the two of you there, and you'll be able to choose one qualm to bring up from a list of four potential issues, including:

  • Attraction, which is measured by your Sim and their partner's chosen Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs from the CAS menu of preferences.
  • Romantic Satisfaction, to check in on how happy you both are in the relationship, whether your needs and desires are being met.
  • Romance Dynamics, which seeks to adjust your Sims' boundaries.
  • Romantic Relationship, which asks how the progress of your relationship feels.

Once you've chosen the topic of the counseling session, either your Sim or their partner will make a comment about the state of the relationship, offering helpful insight into your partner's happiness and take on the relationship, which your Sim may not know up front.

If you don't have that Sim in your household, you won't know yourself what's wrong, either - counseling is a great way to get some insight into why a relationship you'd really like for🧔 your Sim just isn't working out for them.

After the problem is out in the open, you'll have a few options for how to handle the situation among yourselves from the structured safety of t💙he counselor's office. You'll be able to talk things out most of the time, but it never hurts to have an object🔯ive party from outside the relationship who analyzes these things for a living.

Along the way, the Cupid's Counseling professional drops insightful hints on how they think your relationship is progr📖essing, clued in by your responses as your S♌im and the other Sim in the relationship. They'll tell you if they think you guys have something worth saving, even if they may not always say it outright.

Finally, the counselor will ask you to choose a goal for the week to work on with your partner. The🌊se encompass things like improving your relationship meter, spending more time together, and plenty𒀰 of other solutions. These are:

  • Increase Attraction to Each Other.
  • Improve Romantic Relationship.
  • A Perfect Date.
  • Do New Things Together.

This gives you and your partner something tangible to work toward in the coming week! That said, the counselor can only see you once per week, so choose a good goial and run with it!
