As I walk around my new neighbourhood, I start to see a theme emerging. Out to sea beyond the local pier awaits a shipwreck, preserved𒈔 by historians to commemorate the first non-fairy Sim visitors to Innisgreen. It soon꧃ became apparent that these visitors weren’t normal Sims, they were gnomes. The clues included a stall selling over a dozen types of gnome, a giant stone statue of a gnome, and many gnome-themed names for stores. However, there are no actual gnomes. Did I say gnome enough times?
The reason for this absence reveals itself in the neighbourhood of Everdewꦰ, where fairy Sims fly freely and everyℱthing is bathed in a mysterious magical glow. The Fairy Hub provides some concrete answers. It turns out that Innisgreen has a long and surprisingly violent history.

Enter Fairies
The Sims 4: Enchanted By Nature expansion allows you to fully immerse yourself in a fairytale world with a dark past. The main feature of the pack is the ability to become a fairy, but this is far from all it offers⛄. The 🌸world is packed with hidden secrets, and built on a mountain of history. The vibes here are immaculate, and the expansion is for fairies what Life & Death was for ghosts.
Being a fairy Sim has so far been the experience I hoped for. There’s a proper skill tree, in the same vein as vampires and spellcasters, which has three unique se🎀ctions. The first allows for wholesome interactions, powers allowing you to help Sims and become one with nature. The second promotes mischief and lets you play tricks and manipulate other Sims. The final tree is neutral powers, which just help make life easier. This makes the fairy experience customisable to whatever kind of fae being you want to roleplay.
Becoming a fairy is simple and playing as one is fun. You can move around the world a lot faster due to the ability to fly, you have new power꧑s which will help save time and boost the new career path, and you can aid Sims or cause a bit of trouble if it tickles your fancy. But if you just want to commune with nature and forego the m꧟agic, you don’t need to worry about being overrun by fairies. While fairy Sims are abundant throughout the world, most tend to limit their powers to Everdew, appearing as normal Sims in other neighbourhoods and restraining themselves from magical chaos.
I played as a wholesome fairy to begin with, which allows you to go around making people happy, curing theirﷺ ailments, and generally making a lot 🦂of friends. It’s like being in a Disney movie. Press a button, cure a Sim’s depression. If only I had that power in real life.
Running aro🅷und looking like Tinkerbell and making everyone happy makes you feel like a kid again. I’ll play a mischievous fairy soon, but I didn’t want to burst my bubble just yet and enjoyed being a fairy godmother to everyone in town – whether they wanted ♏one or not.
Fairy House Parties
Fairies generally appear Sim-sized but can shrink down at will. Small fairy houses can also be found in Everdew, and you can purchase them from the build buy catalogue. These enable a fairy to fulfil their needs, and to pa🦩rty, in miniature form. Fairies can also play in the sofa cushions and such like by shrinking down within a regular home. This truly allows you to feel like Tinkerbell, despite the interactions while small being limited compared to usual gameplay offerings.
Fans of the rags-to-riches playstyle are about to get the biggest boost ever th𝕴anks to the new natural living skill. You can now fulfill all your needs entirely in nature, from foraging for food to sleeping on the ground. Just be careful where you are. I managed to accidentally sleep in the middle of a road, which is ill-advised at best.
Sims can now get sick with ailments, but being The Sims, these are no regular illnesses. They include the terrifying soꦫnic sneeze, and an ailment that makes your Sim only able to hyperfocus on creating art, rather than eating or sleeping. I’ve never related so hard, although I maintain that it’s a skill, at least mostly. We just need to gloss over the weird hyperfocuses like counting patterns on a carpet.
The new apothecary skill will enable Sims to brew cures for such ailments, as well as potions that affect Sim’s moods. It also links into a Naturopath career, where you use nature and natural methods to heal. It works well with fairies nature but would also blend well with a spellcaster or any ☂other Sim with a love of nature and plants. There's a lot of cross-pack harmony here, which 💎is always welcomed.
While it’s enjoyable to grow plants and cure Sims, fairy dust is by far the most fun addition in Enchanted by Nature. This is dropped when performing certain fairy interactions, and you can also pick up a ration each dꦫay from t🎃he fairy hub.
If you were missing the gnomes I mentioned earlier, then don’t worry. You can briefly bring them to life with fairy dust with unique results, depending on which statue you choose. Fairy dust can also be used to affect other items, so mไake sure to play around with it and see what you can do. Some interactions are useful, like keeping plants alive, while others, like giving gnomes life, are pure fun.
Nature Comes Inside
Nature🅷 is truly captured in the build and buy items, which feel like they’ve been ripped straight from a fairytale book. Trees and plants are a heavy influence with lots of wood, natural grain, floral designs, and a mystical air. There’s a true sense of bringing the outside inside which you’ll capture 🌠here. The items match well and create some unique looks that drip with ethereal style. You'll be able to create treehouse interiors that match the exterior and many doors and windows have peak hobbit hole vibes.
Clothing is the same, with natural fibres, colours, and floral patterns abundant in a hippyꦐ and boho type of selection, with a few simpler staples. They mesh well and include some perfectly stereotypical fairy outfits.
The pack offers a rich gameplay experience with a world full ♓of fables to uncover, fairy powers to unlock, secrets to discover, and new traits, skills, aspirati𓂃ons and a career. The items on offer in both clothing and decor compliment the world well and bridge a gap between the base game and other similar packs such as Realm of Magic or Outdoor Retreat.
Enchanted By Na🍒ture plays nicely with others and has as much depth as the Life & Death DLC. It adds a fully fleshed-out occult state which is complimented well by having a full expansion to hold it up. For fairy fans, and those wishing to unleashಌ their inner child, it’s an enchanted dream come true.
