168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Medium is a very narrative-driven game, its lack of combat and use of tank controls makes it heavily rely on the storyline, and luckily, it's a pretty good one. This game centers around Marianne and her journey into finding more about who she is, what happened to her, and why she has the power to see into the spirit world.

While you'll learn most of this story just by following the game's linear storyline, some objects scattered throughout the place will give you a deeper understanding of what happened at the Niwa Resort. We're talking about Memory Shards.

What are Memory Shards

marianne's split vision between the human and spirit world

Alongside Echoes, Postcards, Thomas' Notes, and Pages from Richard's Diary, Memory Shards are another one of The Medium's collectibles. The interesting thing about this collectible is that each shard contains a piece of the resort's history in the form of conversations or events that are, for lack of a better word, "frozen in time." By finding a Memory Shard, you'll get closer to knowing what really is going on in this place and how it's all connected to Marianne, her family, and her powers.

Scattered through the game are ten shards in total; if you want to find them all, you better keep an eye out since they'll only be visible when Marianne splits between the human and the spirit world. But to be fair, Memory Shards are fairly easy to recognize since you'll see a normal object in the human world, but that same object will look like white energy floating in the spirit world.

Why You Should Find The Memory Shards

There are a couple of reasons as to why you should find these shards. First, they'll give you a better understanding of what happened in this abandoned place. However, understanding Niwa's Resort and Marianne's history isn't the only perk.

Once you find your first Memory Shard you'll unlock the "I Know the Pieces Fit" achievement/trophy, and after collecting ALL the shards, you'll get the "Puzzling Out The Past" achievement/trophy. However, keep in mind that to get this last one, you'll have to find all of the Memory Shards in the same playthrough, so knowing w♛here these are beforehand will be essential for all completion🎐ists out there.

Where To Find Memory Shards

Memory Shard #1 - William Blake book

You'll find the first shard during the beginning of the game when you get to the resort in hopes of talking to Thomas. While exploring the resort's second floor, you'll eventually find a room that has a huge hole on the ground, all you have to do is jump down and interact with the book that's on the left side of your screen, reconstruct the memory, and a short cut scene will play.

Memory Shard #2 - Soup Bowl

While exploring deeper into the resort, you'll come across a room that has a dead sunflower in it — that's the room where you'll find the second shard. All you have to do is look a little to the right, and you'll see an empty soup bowl, interact with it.

Keep in mind that you'll enter this room twice, but the first time Marianne will be in the spirit world, so you'll have to get her body inside the room to interact with the Memory Shard.

Memory Shard #3 - IV Bag

Eventually, you'll find a Dayroom that you'll have to explore. Inside it's the third Memory Shard. To find it, go to the center of the room where there's a table with plants on it. Behind said table, you'll see a fluid bag on the IV. That's the object you're looking for. Interact with it, and another cut-scene will play out.

Memory Shard #4 - Piano Keys

After solving the globe puzzle — which will have you re-arranging an earth globe until it resembles a face — you'll be able to enter a room that has a big piano in it. Once inside, walk a little to the right until you reach a desk with some piano keys on it; interact ܫwith th﷽ose to unlock the fourth Memory Shard.

Memory Shard #5 - Glasses

In that same piano room, look for a set of keys that will unlock the door to the office (which is the same room where the missing globe piece was). Once inside that new room, go to the back where there you'll see some desks, chairs, and a poster. On top of one of those desks, there'll be a pair of glasses — interact with them to play out the cut-scene from the fifth Memory shard.

Memory Shard #6 - Painting

After exploring the Dayroom, head downstairs and walk over to the room on the right, there you'll see some steps leading to a painting and other canvases. Interact with the painting to unlock the sixth Memory Shard.

  • Keep in mind that Memory Shards six through eight are part of the main story, so you won't be able to miss them.

Memory Shard #7 - Doll

In that same area where the painting is, you'll be directed by a spirit trail to a doll sitting on top of a table — that's the seventh Memory Shard, so just interact with it.

Memory Shard #8 - Ribbon

This is the final story-based Memory shard. To find this one, go to the left, behind the stairs, until you see a desk with a white cloth covering it and a red ribbon on t🌱op. Interact with the object, and another cut-scene will play out.

Memory Shard #9 - Fuel Container

If you want to find the ninth shard go to the left when you reach the Red House's ruins, there you'll find some planks and a lot of wreckage. Investigate the point where the white energy floats, and you'll see a fuel container, interact with it.

Memory Shard #10 - Gas Canister

The final shard will also be at the Red House's ruins. To find this one explore the outside area until you find a fuel container in the debris (it'll be on top of the crates that are at the front-left of the stairs). Like you've done with the other Memory Shards, interact with this one.
