Although not an official Stable quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, "Outsing the Giants" is a quest that leads you to three key locations you'll want to revisit for materials - especially the kind your best friends, the Dondons, will want to nibble on. Taking you to three mining locatio﷽ns, you'll have to face the big, the terrible, and the u༺gly.
Your reward for these quests isn't much of a gift, but you'll want these giants gone if you want the resources they're keeping to themselves. So make sure you have a nice stash of arrows ♌before you go giant-hunting.
Calora Lake: Eldest Hinox Brother
Calora Lake is the farthest east lake in the trio of lakes just north and above Lake Floria. The giant at this lake is the hardest of the three brothers, a Black Hinox, and he'll be the one you'll likely want to get out of the way first.
You can reach this lake easily by gliding from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower (especially if you have the Glide Suit), and Calora Lake is a🍰 great location to glide from for the other two locations on your monster-𝕴hunting quest.
As you glide in, the cave you will be looking for has a large opening in the northern wall. Enter and notice the lit torches guiding your entrance to a second cavernous path leading downward.
Drop in and pull out your bow as soon as you fall into the bottom chamber, and you can spy the Hinox sleeping on the far side of the room. Take this opportunity to let fly a few shots.
If you're skilled enough, you might be able to strike the Hinox's eye as it opens, meaning the Hinox will be stunned as you enter the c💫ave.
Run up to the Hinox and fight as you normally would, but you'll need to note two things:
- There is a surplus of explosive barrels in this room you can use to your advantage but must remain wary of.
- This Hinox has a shin guard on both legs. You cannot deal damage in melee while these are on, but you can burn them off with a flame weapon or fire-infused arrow.
Defeat the Hinox and use Ascend to leave the cave.
In the first entry room, on your way out, you can shoot the barrels lining a wall of breakable rocks with a fire-infused arrow. This will reveal a Bubbulfrog on the other side.
Rodai Lake: Youngest Hinox Brother
At the next lake, heading west from Calora, you'll find another lake entrance on the waterfront, but the entrance of this one leads to a long tunnel down into complete darkness.
Fall down this tunnel (don't worry about the yet), and you'll land in a pool of water. Swim forward to find a cave of complete darkness you'll need to light by throwing brightbloom seeds, of which you can find a pleth♛ora along♚ the cave walls here.
Stick to the far left wall and continue forward while throwing brightbloom seeds until you reach a bend in the path that dead-ends into a ledge overlooking a large room lit by Luminous Stone veins.
Don't enter yet and throw a brightbloom seed over the edge.
Glide over to the central pillar and sneak around on either side🍷 to spy the Hinox resting on the ground.
As you did with the Eldest Brother, jump off the pillar and draw your bow to fire arrows while you fall to the ground.
Thankfully, the Youngest Brother is a standard Red Hinox, and you'll be able to make quick work of him at only a fraction of the trouble the Eldest gave you. Fire a few arrows into his eyes and deal with him quickly to move on via Ascending out of the cave.
Corta Lake: Middle Hinox Brother
The cave of the Middle Brother is a little trickier to find than the others. Located on the far western side of the water and just before the waterfall emptying into the Corta Lake from above, this cave is nestled into the rockface.
Enter and find a hole with an updraft blowing from below. You can ignore it temporarily to run past it and gain the free Strong-Long-Stick Stick with an Attack bonus in the chest at the end of the corridor and mine the ore veins ꧋surrounding the c💃hest.
Drop into the hole with the updraft to enter a new room where you can see several piles of breakable rocks. Run past them to the last one at the very end of the cavern and to your right.
Destroy it with a 𒀰bomb arrow, a 🎃boulder-breaking weapon, or Yonobo's special ability to reveal a second updraft.
Ride this updraft into a new chamber with the Middle Hinox Brothe🐽r.
Draw your bow and fire several arrows at this Blue Hinox while he sleeps. Once he's up, you can focus on fighting him normally but must beware of the single leg bracer on his right leg (your left).
Once the Middle Hinox Brother is defeated, you can teleport back to Lakefront Stable via 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Joju-u-u Shrine on the cliffside behind it or glide across 𒉰Lake𓄧 Floria.
Speak with Kampo, and you'll be given Mighty for your troubles. Any leftover Luminoꩲus Stones you received from this endeavor can be given to the nearby🅠 Dondon's on the western side of Lake Floria.
