Quick Links
Although there are countless fun, engaging, and challenging quests to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, restoring Lurelin Village is not one of them. With a line of three quests to complete, you'll have to climb a mountain of frustration before you see the sun setting ౠon a peaceful, palmy beach on the ༒southeastern tip of Hyrule.
Your tasks will take you fro꧂m Lookout Landing to Lurelin to Hateno and everywhere in between. You'll need to ensure you're in top condition and fully stocked before taking on this challenge💯. If you haven't gotten your fix of monster-mashing and tedious collection quests, don't worry; you will.
Village Attacked By Pirates
To get started, you'll want to venture to Lookout Landing and speak with the two people having a conversation in the merchant's tent (where you can buy armor aꦦnd general goods). They'll talk about the village of Lurelin being raided, and they'll ask Link to investigate.
Once you accept the quest, you can leave for Lurelin Village on the far southeastern peninsula of Hyrule.
A geoglyph can be found near Lurelin Village for those seeking to collect t༺hem all, though completing or not, this questline will not ꧒affect your ability to gather Dragon's Tears.
On the cliffside above Lurelin Village, you can find Bolson and Chieftain Rozel just outside Sifumim Shrine. Speak with them to learn about the monsters that have taken overℱ Lu🔯relin Village.
From here, the "Village Attacked By Pirates" can be finished by simply returning to Lookout Landing to speak with the merchants w🧸ho gave you the quest. In the meantime, you'll be given the quest "Ruffian-Infested Village." On your own time, you'll need to defeat every monster in Lurelin Village.
Clearing Out Lurelin Village
There are numerous monsters in Lurelin, and most are situated in camps around the massive Pirate Ship in the center of town. You can take on each of these camps one at a time, typically, without being overw🍰helmed by all at once.
Many of them will be Blue and Black Bokoblins, so you'll need a surplus of strong weapons and effective meals.
The recommended route to take is to start on the right side of town as you enter (the west, from your map's perspective). From there, take on all the Bokoblin camps in a clockwise fashion around the beach but stop when you spy a well.
Take a moment to drop into this well, where you can find a single Black Bokoblin hiding down here. As Bols𝕴on said, he can't rebuild with even ✨a single Bokoblin left, and this one's part of the count.
Take out the Bokoblin at the bottom of the well and then use Ascend to return to Lurelin Village.
Other than this one Bokoblin, there are no other Bokoblins hiding or outside the main space of the village. You do not want to pass through the village borders marked by two torches and an archway, as monsters will not count toward the overall mission if they exist beyond its bord⛎ers🔯.
The clockwise formation should stop once you reach the Bokoblins around the firepit with roasted fish. The🍨 waterfront and the pirate ship will be ahead.
To reach the pirate ship, throw a pine cone onto the fire to create an updraft. Jump and deploy your paraglider to rise and glide over to the ship. Once above the monsters on the ship, you can draw your bow and begin firing.
There are bomb barrels o🅘n the main deck you'll want to light as you glide inꦗ.
Defeat all the monsters on board, and they should be the last ones. If youꦉ'r𝔍e missing any monsters toward your count, you might have:
- Missed a monster camp on your clockwise trip. Travel them again.
- Forgotten the monster in the well. The well is almost directly north of the pirate ship inside the fence line on the small cliffs.
- Missed the Lizalfos on the back deck. He sometimes glitches and cannot see Link because of the mast, making him non-hostile. Climb the ladder to reach him.
Once all monsters are defeated, you'll be forced to speak with Bolson and the chief. This will lead to the Lurelin Restoration Project. If you thoug🧔ht you could rest easy after these battle🀅s, think again.
Gathering Supplies
Your first mission toward restoring this town is to gather supplies for Bolson to use in the restoration project. Unfortunately, neither is easily gained. Yoꦺu'll need:
- 15 Logs
- 20 Hylian Rice
To sweeten the deal, you can't use any of the palm trees in town for the log count. You'll need to travel farther north to cut down 15 trees and deliver them back to Bolson.
15 Logs To Madness
There is a group of exactly 15 trees just north of Lurelin Village and on the cliffside to the left near the road-split. However, it's usually raining in this area, so unless you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:have the Froggy Armor, you'll want to continue around the cliffside to a safer spot to climb🥀 up.
Once you reach the top of the cliff, you can begin chopping down trees. And if you thought this would be a calm task, you t💙hou🌠ght wrong.
Some of the trees in this area are Evermeans, the living and highly aggressive trees, and they won't take kindly to you whacking them with a crude stone axe. Additionally, if you come at night, Stalkoblins will come out of the ground and join the Evermeans in their fight. You'll need to defeat them all to clear the area.
You will likely be cutting grass while y🥂ou fight. If it is raining while the battle occurs, you'll have a small chance to gain some additional♑ Hylian Rice when you cut grass.
With all 15 trees chopped, you'll need to find a way to transport them back. At the base of the cliffs on the north side, there is a small building pitstop🅠 with wooden boards you can use to create something that can help. At this time, your options can include:
Horse And Cart |
A ♋horse with enough Pull (4-5 Stars) might be able to take a cart with all logs. |
Vehicle |
Yꦿou can build a vehicle with large wheels (provided you have a steering mechanism and th𝐆e wheels) |
Manual Labor |
Yo🥀u can carry all lo🐲gs attached to one another with Ultrahand and walk down the hill. |
In the long run, doing some Manual Labor (if you don't already have a build ready with Autobuild) will always be the faster route. This is because:
- The terrain near the pitstop is uneven and cramped, and wheeled creations have a tendency to be built askew or roll down the hill mid-build.
- Carts that aren't built high enough (especially in the horse method) have a tendency to snag on the way down the hill, and balancing the logs without causing the cart to tip or lean can be difficult.
- If you make multiple trips with a vehicle, Bolson takes the logs, and your vehicle will disappear. This means you will need to build a second vehicle to carry the rest, and sometimes, there is a glitch where not all parts of your vehicle will respawn at the pitstop point. Therefore, it is recommended to take everything in one go.
For the fastest and easiest route, Attach all 15 logs to each other in stacks of three across and carry them down the hill to Bolson.
If you need the trees to respawn, you only need to leave the area and return. All 15 trees will reappear.
20 Rice Richer
Gathering Hylian Rice can be a headache thanks to their rarity and the consumption of your time and (if you purchase them) money. You can find Hylian Rice using two main methods:
- Purchasing them at shops
- Cutting grass in specific, wet regions
While purchasing Hylian Rice is easy and fast, you likely will not be able to purchase enough Hylian Rice in a single run to reach all 20 ♏in the earlꦓy-to-mid game.
Additionally, if you purchase most of them, you will spend more money on this quest than you will receive in rupee rewards.
You can purchase Hylian Rice at:
- Lookout Landing - Corner Merchant
- Hateno Village - General Goods
- Zora's Domain - General Goods
- Korok Forest - General Store
- Snowfield Stable - Traveling Merchant Yammo
- Gerudo Town - Cooking Ingredient Store (after Regional Phenomenon Gerudo Area Completion)
If you don't want to spend the funds, you can spend time cutting grass with a long, bladed weapon. The best location to find them is in the area around Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower in and around the lowland water.
Otherwise, you can find it in several areas around Hateno Village.
If you need to respawn grass to cut, you can leave the area via Fast Travel and return. Otherwise, you can return to Lurelin Village with all 20 bushels of Hylian Rice.
Rebuilding Lurelin
If you thought you were finally d🐻one, congratulations! You're not.
All of your materials were used for theꦗ foundations of the buildings, and the thatched rooves have yet to be placed.
In the meantime, Bolson will need your help with five more odd projects.
You'll need to do a few mini-quests around town at buildings of your choice. They include three business establishments and two houses.
You can do them in any order you like, and you can do them at your own pace; leave and come back later, if you'd like.
Speak with Bolson and select the building project you'd like to undertake. Agree when 🥂he says you should move to💧 the building, and he'll tell you what to do.
Some projects will be similar to others, and many of them can be very frustrating with the rotation controls. Be patient and continue trying until you get the right angle. If all else fails, try finding som❀ewhere higher to stand.

Restaurant |

Move all boxes in the restaurant out, placing them anywhere. Then, cut down a straight palm tree. From a high point, slide the log through the upper circ꧙le and into the hole below. |
If you have trouble getting the logs to fit in the house or restaurant puzzles, make sure you have a straight palm tree. These puzzles cannot be done with the curved palm trees.
Additionally, climbing onto the pillars is recommended to gain ♛a higher vantage as Link's height and positioning can make it difficult to get the right angle for s♑ome of these tasks.
With all these buildings finally put back together, Lurelin Village will be complete. You'll be brought to a feast where the villagers will thank you by giving you absolutely nothing. Your reward for this quest will be free meals, free stays at the inn, and the chance to play a treasure chest mini-game.
However, at least you can finally wash your hands of this ﷽place, and maybe the real treasure was the monsters we got to beat up along the way.
