Quick Links
Of all the bosses in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tears of the Kingdom, Frox are undeniably some of the hardest. These enormous, slug-like creatures live underground in the Depths, and they're sure to make a quick jaunt for Poe or into a devastating affair.
In this guide, we've laid out everything you need to know about them, so that you'll be prepared to take them down on your next encounter. We've outlined the three types, provided the locations for every siღngle one, and offered tips and 🍌tricks for your epic battle. Good luck!
Types Of Frox
In total, there are three types of Frox, each more dangerous than th𝐆e last. Don't be fooled - the m♔ost dangerous type is the Blue-White Frox, not the Obsidian variety.
- Frox
- Obsidian Frox
- Blue-White Frox
The simplest way to differentiate the three types is by eye colour. Regular Frox have orange eyes, Obsidian Frox have green eyes, and Blue-White Frox have red eyes. Expect the more dangerous versions to have more health and to do more damage than their easier counterparts. Each will give sl✱ightly more powerful components than the last, too.
It's worth noting that there are also Little Frox, but they're not a boss, just a mob you may encounter as you run aro🍸und the Depꦓths.
Every Frox Location
There are, by our count, 41 Frox in the Depths of Hyrule. On the map below, you can see each location visually. We've also included a list of each Frox location, divided by subspecies, that details the precise coordinates you need to reach.

Tips For Beating Frox
How Does A Frox Attack, And How Should You Counter?
You can only do damage to a Frox in two ways: shooting its 🦩eye or hitting the ore deposits on its back. Any attack against its skin will be totally ineffective.
A Frox's key attacks are as follows:
- Inhaling Link
- Charging at Link
- Body Slamming Link
- Bucking Link off its back
- Catching Link in its mouth
In general, your goal will be to stun the Frox so that it stays still long enough for an attack. You can do this either by shooting the Frox ꧂in its enormous, glowing eye, or by making it swallow a Bomb Flower. E⛄ither way, you'll have enough of an opening to climb on top of the beast and attack the ore deposits there.
Don't try to dodge a Frox for a Flurry Rush; that's just not going to work. In fact, unless you're racing to get on its back, you shouldn't be anywhere near the Frox! Its charge attack and body slam attack can be really cruel, ofte🐲n coming when you just didn't have enough time to put away your bow and get out of the way. With enough practice, you'll get a b𓆉etter sense for when you should start running for your life.
If you have the Avatar of Tulin from completing the main mission in the Rito region, keep him out for Frox ꦡfights! Tulin can help propell you when you're midair after a Frox bucked you off, and sometimes he will even land an arrow to the eye, offering you a free ride on the Frox's back.
Preparation Is Key: What Should You Bring?
The Frox, being creatures of the Depths, will sap your life force. When you take Gloom damage, it can't be healed until you've restored those hearts. You also may have to run through patches of Gloom. For these reasons, be sure to bring:
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armor of the Depths
- Food madeও with Sundelions, which will restore the hearts lost to Gloom
- Food made with , which will give you the buff temporarily
In addition, make sure you have plenty of the following (which is just good sense for beating any boss):
- High-defense armor, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:preferably upgraded by a Great Fairy
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Healthy ✅food, with your favorite buffs
- Arrows
- Bomb Flowers
Finally, consider your weapons. One of the main ways you beat a Frox is by attacking the ore deposits on its back, so be sure to have a strong melee weapon that will be capable of taking out ore as quickly as possible. A two-handed weapon can even hit multiple ore deposits at a time. In addition, you'll need to be able to stun the Frox in order to get to those ore deposits, so a bow is crucial. A powerful bow is preferable, since you will do some damage with your arrow to the eyℱe, but your melee weapon will be pulling most of the weight.
