The first time we see the Kokiri is in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In this game, Link lives with the Kokiri in the Kokiri Forest. Here, they have a community built around the Great Deku Tree, which watches over𒐪 them.

The Kokiri In Wind Waker

Link and King of the Red Lions from Wind Waker

To understand the Kokiri's place in Wind Waker, we first need to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:take a quick look at the timeline of the series.

The original timeline spans from Skyward Sword to Ocarina of Time. After Ocarina of Time, three timelines were created, with one being based on Ganondorf being defeated an🐻d sealed away at the end of the game.

After being sealed for a period of time, Ganondorf broke the seꦬal and caused destruction to Hyrule. As 𝄹a last resort, the people of the Kingdom pray to the three Goddesses (Din, Nayru, and Farore), who flood the land in order to stop Ganondorf from rising to power.

Thus begins the start of Wind Waker, where the Kokiri have 🐟seemingly been replaced by Koroks. As Koroks, the group can now travel easily across the flooded Hyrule. Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda franchise, stated that the Kokiri evolved into Koroks but have "inherited their blood."

Koroks In Breath Of The Wild

A Korok Seed in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

After turning 🌞into Koroks, the Kokiri never transform back into their human versions. Because of this, we have Koroks in Breath of the Wild. The Kokiri Forest is now called the Korok Forest, where you can find the main Korok village as well as the Great Deku Tree. Koroks are also hidden around Hyrule, ready to give you a Korok Seed upon solving a puzzle.

Since Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, we see the return of Koroks once again. In th🐬is game, you will also get to complete little puzzles to obtain Korok Seeds.

Interestingly, many NPCs (as well as some Koroks) note that Koroks can't be seen by everyone. It isn't explicitly stated why Link can see them, but this may be due to his history with the Kokiri.

While the Breath of the Wild Link is not the same version from Ocarina of Time, he still contains the same 'spirit.' Because of this, he may subconsciously know about the Kokiri and, in turn, be able to see the Koroks.
