How To Reach The Stilled Jabul Waters Rift

Tri opening the Stilled Jabul Waters rift for Zelda.

After defeating Lord Jabu-Jabu, you can swim over to the open rift in his wake. Tri will create an opening for you to hop through, and that opening will take you right into the Stilled Jabul Waters Rift.

Once inside the rift, hop along the tops of the floating trees, then take the bridge to the left and swim through the floating blocks of water. Climb up the pillars jutting out from the water to reach the top of the gr⭕assy platform.

Make sure to learn the water-block echo while you're here!

Upon reaching the top, hop over to the next pond that's filled with fish. Avoid their bites as you navigate higher up the pond, and use your newly-learned water-block echo to help you reach new heights.

Be careful when using echoes here, as you may fall to your doom.

Continue to move upwards, scaling the bodies of water until you come across a large bridge made from the stilled Lord Jabu-Jabu! Cross over his body to access the Jabul Ruins just beyond.

Jabul Ruins Fountains

Zelda riding the water spout in the Jabul Ruins.

Inside the ruins, activate the waypoint so you can fast travel as needed. As you head down the corridor, the floor beneath you will collapse and drop you into a watery chamber.

You'll need to swim down and bind Tri to large rocks to clear a path for yourself. Continue moving down through the sunken ruins until you encounter Vocavor, a giant shrimp-like beast.

Make sure to stop for air when you can so you don't run out!

Vocavor will create a waterspout and chase you through the ruins. You'll need to act fast to get away and avoid obstacles in your path. Once you reach the end of the path, climb up the ladder to escape.

In this new area, hop across the platforms to reach the staircase on the western side of the room. Once up the stairs, access the second waypoint and go through the door to the north.

Here, you'll find that there are five square fountains on the wall꧂, and you'll need to activܫate them all to move forward.

If you get lost, there are lines on the walls 💧with the fountains 𒊎corresponding colors. Follow them!

The Pink Fountain

The first fountain is pink and can be activated by stepping on the button in front of you when you first en🦹ter the main chamber. The center square on♏ the wall will light up, and a spout of water will emerge for a few moments before dissipating.

This is th♛e easiest fountain to activate, but there are still four more t𓆏o go.

The Blue Fountain

Take the path to your left after activating the pink fountain and descend the ladder into the next chamber. Dive down into the depths, lighting up anemones as you go so you can see.

You can defeat a Bio Deku Baba and learn it as an echo here!

Continue moving west until you can go no further, then move upwards to reach the top of the cavern. Here, you can climb a ladder to escape the depths.

In the next chamber, you'll need to use your echoes to ignite all four braziers in the room, but one of them is fully submerged in the water. Bind Tri to it and lift the brazier to the surface. Place it in the empty corner on the left then ignite it to open to eastern door.

Activate the blue button in the center of thꦺe room to activate the fountain in the main chamber.

The Red Fountain

From the main chamber, take the path to the right and descend the ladder. Hop across the wooden platforms and avoid the enemies submerged in the water. Collect the map for the dungeon in a chest to the right, then dive under the waves to continue eastward until you reach a ladder.

If the wooden platforms break, you can use the water-block ecꦅho instead!

In the next chamber, dive under the iron bars to reach the open pool. Beware of the enemies that will take a bite out of you! Destroy the submerged wooden crate with your echoes, than climb up the stairs and use your echoes to reach the upper platform with a tightrope.

Continue across the top of the room, moving along the ropes, until you reach the staircase on the western side of the room. The door behind you will close, and you'll have to face off against several enemies before the way forward opens.

Use your environme🧸nt 🌃to your advantage to stay out of range!

Head through the door and activate the red button to light up the red fountain in the main chamber.

The Yellow Fountain

Once you've activated the other fountains, the water can rise high enough to lift you up to the wooden scaffolding. Ride the spout up and follow the yellow line along the wall to the west.

In the next chamber, you'll have to navigate waterfalls while being attacked by enemies. Either swim or use the wooden platforms to move south of the falls, then cross over the middle and head north. Pass through the door to the west into the next chꦇamber.

Here, there are five glowing eyes you'll need to close to open the sealed door. Enter swordfighter mode to engage with them or use your echoes to destroy them. There are three along the platforms, one underwater, and one hidden behind the stack of crates next🅘 t𒁃o the closed door.

The water moves in this room, so any echoes placed in it will go with the flow.

Once they're all destroyed, the doors will open and you're free to pass through. Ascend the staircase where you'll yet again be trapped, but this time must defeat all the enemies in the room. After they've been destroyed, go through the eastern door and activate the yellow button.

The Green Fountain

The final fountain can be reached by riding the water spout up to the wooden platform, then following the green line on the wall to the right. Descend the ladder and swim through the depths.

Use the bombfish echo to destroy rocks and wooden planks in your path!

Continue downward until you find a large golden chest. Swim around the outside, then come up underneath and open the chest to obtain a big key, which you'll need to unlock the boss door.

Move upward and eastward to a narrow canal past a row of crates. You'll enter a room with several shadowy fish you'll need to defeat before the next chamber opens.

Swim into it and defeat the Bio Deku Baba plants surrounding the green button. You'll need to then drop a heavy echo, like the boulder, onto the button to activate it and light up the final fountain.

How To Defeat Vocavor

Zelda swimming away from Vocavor in the Jabul Ruins boss fight.

After all the fountains are activated, the water spout will reach the highest platform, where you'll find a big locked door. Using the big key found while searching for the green button, open the door and head inside to challenge Vocavor.

Check out our here!

Vocavor will send several waterspouts towards you, so navigate around them in the water to avoid taking damage. When Vocavor is worn out, use swordfighter form or your echoes to attack the blue nodules on its back. Continue hitting it in this soft s🅺pot until it's defeated.

Once Vocavor has been slain, the rift will be restored! You're free to leave the temple at any time.
