This battle presents a departure from most of the boss battles Echoes of Wisdom has given us so far, largely because it follows an enemy that spends the entire fight up in the air.

You’ll need to adjust your movement and combat strategies accordingly, reacting༒ to a range of new attacks that have surpr𒐪ising reach and high damage potential.

The best flying echo to use fo🎃r this fight is the Ghirro. Not only is it easy to grab on the ground, but also releases a gust of wind that senℱds you flying around the arena.

Volvagia will continually move between a handful of different points on the map, each with a💃 different attack and terrain for Zelda to consider.

In order to navigate the battlefield, you’ll use the jets of smoke billowing up from the ground, equipping a winged echo you can hang onto to🀅 move around the arena quickly a🔜nd avoid incoming attacks.

It’s a fight with a fast and reactive pace, but relatively easy to overcome if you know what echoes to use and when to move around the environment. Given his lack of phases, you stan🐟d a chance at taking Volvagia down very easily.

How To Defeat Volvagia

You will begin the fight on the centre platform as Volvagia spawns from the upper right and fires a big green orb towards you. Avoid this by jumping to the right and summoning Ghirro before jetting into the air.

Volvagia will follow up his initial attack with a barrage of fireballs, but these aꦉre easy enough to dodge so long as you remain airborne.

Now you will have a few seconds to take on Zelda’s swordfighter form and dish out damage. It would be wise to pull double duty and summon a Darknut or other offensive echo to make sure you’re dolling out as much punishment as possible. However, this won’t be possible in every part of the arena thanks to some scorching hot floors.

After taking enough damage, Volvagia will take flight before plunging into the lava until he emerges once again in the upper right corner. This part of the ar꧃ena isn't without hazards, so find your 💛closest stream of smoke, hop aboard Ghirro, and repeat the same attack pattern.

You 𝐆will also notice some breakable jars on the 🌜right, which contain some hearts and energy if you didn’t come prepared with any smoothies.

When Volvagia appears in the lower right corner, you will notice that he is no longer in melee range, and you will need to either use Zelda’s bow or summon ranged echos to damage him. He’ll also use a sweeping neck attack alongside his usual re𓂃pertoire, so make sure you don’t stand too far forward and sacrifice any ne🔜edless hearts.

The lower left is just as complicated, as Zelda won’t be able to step on the inflamed ground without setting herself alight. Than🌌kfully, you can just keep spawning echoes in her place or once again use Link’s bow to close the distance.
