I can’t keep pretending to care this much about Sarasaland to justify my girl being in the party games, Nintendo, please𓂃.
With the kingdom briefly restored and free of rifts, the crown has time to take stock and rꦇest a while, but Zelda still needs to prepare for the battle ahead. Luckily, Impa has more than the royal attire to give the Princess as she prepares for conflict. Here’s how to get the best horse this adventure has to offer.
How To Complete Impa’s Gift
The quest begins in the Hyrule Castle throne room by speaking with Impa. She'll tell Zelda she has a horse for her.
After speaking with Impa and accepting her quest, you can head to Hyrule Ranch whenever you like, but our advice is to get this particular task squared away sooner rather than later. It will give you a more adventurous means 🍨of traversal instead of using fast travel all the time.
We might have mocked fast travel just a second ago, but don’t be afraid to use it when travelling to Hyrule Ranch so you can save a bit of timไe. Or use a horse to get one last ride.
When you arrive at the ranch, speak to a woman to the north of the estate standing near the gate. She will mention that her son and your horse haven’t returned from some exercise. It’s actually due to a rift opening up nearby, which a panicked son will rush in to warn you about💃.
You need to follow them to the rift, located with a blue marker on your map. It's in a field of carrots you might have frequented previously after obtaining your first horse, as the vegetables are used to summon them wherever you are. Now you need to head into the rift and find your steed before it's too late.
Impa’s Gift - Stilled Carrot Patch Rift Walkthrough
Upon entering the rift,ℱ Tri wilꦬl let Zelda know that four of her friends are trapped inside.
Begin by walking straight forward and taking out the duo of corrupted slimes before breaking crates to reveal a hidden ladder. Head straight down there to find yo🔜ur first trapped objecꦉtive.
Impa’s Gift - First Trapped Echo Location
To reach it, you will need to navigate past a Platboom that greets you at the start of the room. Simply wait until it drops and jump onto it, then move t✤o the right side of the room.
You can also kill the Platboom and learn i🌸t as a summonable echo, which isn’t obvious at first glance considering you use it for platforming. The eye is a bit of a dead giveaway...
Now you’ll need to move a giant rock and also deal with a row of crates found next to it. Start by moving the Platboom over to the opposite side of the room into the identically sized gap, and then use Zelda’s staff to move one of the crates so they are piled on top of one another.
Move the pile of crates to the left and shuffle the giant rock across into its place. Zelda will now have🎶 enough space to jump atop the Platboom and then move the rock a second time when she reaches the top.
Now destroy the crates, grab the trapped echo, and leave the room. The rock should be pos🐻itioned on a button tha🐲t will open the metal gate next to the crates if done correctly.
Impa’s Gift - Second Trapped Echo Location
After climbing back up the ladder, head forward and climb the vertical collection of trees to the north using the Water Block echo.
Head left upon reaching the top and clamber across another small chasm to find the second trapped echo all on its lonesome.
Impa’s Gift - Third Trapped Echo Location
Keep heading left and follow the path, then jump down into a new area where five big rocks can be found. The next echo can be found underneath the rock positioned further north. Us🥀e Zelda’s staff to systematically move each one o𝓀f the way and retrieve the echo.
Impa’s Gift - Fourth Trapped Echo Location
The fourth and final echo is once again hidden beneath a pesky crate. Keep on following the path downward and to the right until you stumble across a collection of them. Break them all to reveal an entrance to a basement filled with shadow Bokoblins.
As for the echo, it won’t appear until you’ve defeated all the enemies, so get slicing. A few rupees🦋 and fruit can also be found if you decide to break open all the extra contai🐽ners, too.
T꧂he farmer’s wife will also mention Flag Races, a new side activity that will be unlocked at Hyrule Ranch.
You will automatically return to the real world and be greeted by the farmer’s family. But the horse is still nowhere to be seen, so use Zelda’s staff to pull a carrot from the ground, and it will come running.
Now you have your very own ho🤡rse. Exce𝄹pt this one is for keeps!
