Nintendo's Original Name For Tears Of The Kingdom Was A Massive Spoiler
Nintendo didn't want to imm♈ediately spoil the big twist.
As youꦇ explore the world with Tri to restore Rifts plaguing the land, you'll encounter the Zora in their watery home. There are plenty of things to do in the villages, but your priority should be helping the two groups of Zora get along. In doing so, you'll do a lot more than just heal the rifts.
Where To Find The River Zora Village Rift
As you progress through the Jabul Waters Rift quest, you'll help the leaders of the Zora get along. After Lord Jabu-Jabu swallows up some of the Zora, make your way to the River Zora village. The ground will shake and you'll hear Dradd cry out from far away.
Make your way east, up through the village. Hop between two waterfalls and toss away the rocks in your path to continue moving east. Swim over to the freshly opened rift where you'll find a young River Zora and Chief Kushara.
The young Zora's father and Chief Dradd were swallowed up by the rift. Tri will create an opening so you can make your way tꩲhrough and rescue them!
How To Complete The Stilled Upper Zora River Rift
Once inside the rift, Tri detects their friends. They've been separated into five groups, and you'll need to find all of them to restore the rift and save the Zora.
While most of Tri's friends can be found in the open areas around the rift, some of them are trapped in a cave!
The Cave
Enter the cave and use one of the fish bombs to blast through the rocks. Continue west through the cave and repeat the process in the bottom left corner with another rock to reach Tri's friends.
Collect them here, then swim up to the top of the cave and emerge from the water. You'll find a shadowy crab leaping back and forth here. Switch into swordfighter form to attack and defeat the crab. It will drop more of Tri's friends. Gather them up, then take the ladder out of the cave.
Alternatively, you can continue westward in the cave and dive down to learn the Biri echo!
The Rift
There are three groups of Tri's friends trapped in the rift, but outside the cave. You can find them in the fo🌺llowing locations:
- In the water to the west. From the entrance to the rift, head over to the west. Hop along the trees to find a group of Tri's friends trapped in the water. Swim over to them to collect and free them.
- Beside the waterfall. From the entrance to the rift, head east towards the waterfall. Tri's friends are trapped on a ledge just beyond it. Swim up the waterfall and hop down to reach it.
- By Stilled Dradd. Head to the back of the rift and climb onto the stilled Zora to reach the top of the cliff. Continue across the floating platforms until you find Dradd, then collect Tri's friends next to him.
Be sure to learn the Octorok echo while you're in the rift!
Once you've gathered all of Tri's friends, they'll lend Tri their power and restore the rift. You'll be rewarded with two might crystals as thanks and leave the rift together. The rift will be restored, freeing the trapped Zora within!
The quest will conclude after you speak with the Zora Chiefs again.
