After hours and hours of buildup in the gameplay, Abby and Ellie’s fight in the theater is one of the most climactic moments of The Last of Us Part 2. The climb through this towering structure is a truly breathtaking set piece, and players a꧃re treated to some fantastic dialogue between Abby and Lev. This sequence, and Abby and Lev’s quips as she faces her greatest fear, would be sorely missed from the series.

Joel And Ellie’s Final Conversation

Taking place at the very end of the game, Joel and Ellie have a final conversation on Joel’s back porch after the dance - they don’t know, of cours🍸e, that this will be the last conversation they ever have. Not only does Joel get to enjoy a cup of coffee (one of the things he said he missed most about before the outbreak), but he and Ellie get to have one last, nice moment of reconciliation.

Like the conversation at the hospital, this scene is o🔥ne of the most important moments for both of their characters, especially as Ellie looks back on it after Joel’s death. The showrunners might choose to switch up the order that this conversation is revealed to viewers inಞ the sequence of events, but there’s no doubt it needs to be in the show in some capacity.

Ellie’s Space Flight Simulation

In what is argued as the single best sequence in the game, Joel takes Ellie to a museum for her birthday when she’s still a kid. The flashback has them make their way through dinosaur a🎐nd space exhibits as the two crack jokes, just like the old days.

The final cutscene is one of the series’ standout moments, though, as Ellie climbs into a spaceship and Joel hands her a headset with a recording of a rocket launch so she can imagine launching into sꦰpace. It’s one of the most magical moments Ellie ever gets, fully enjoying her childhood one last time. Aside from all the major plot points, the launch is the one scene the show cannot afford to miss; if it’s not there, HBO will have some very upset fans on their hands.
