I am, of course, talking about what happens to The Last of Us' protagonist and loveable father figure, Joel, who gets murdered 🅺by Ab⛎by early on in the game. Even all these years after The Last of Us Part 2's launch, there are still a lot of fans of the first game who hate the sequel for what it did to Joel. Well, if you're one of those fans who refuse to fight against Clickers and the WLF unless it's as Joel, yo💫u'll be happy to know there's already a mod that fixes that.

The mod, and does exactly what it says on the tin by replacing Ellie with Joel. This version of Joel seems to be the one from the No Return mode🐎, as Lambi79 has included all of his unlockable skins in different packs.

. Certain sections of the game can only be played as Ellie and break with Joel's model, requiring you to switch back to her. You'll also need to have the "Skins" tab in extras unlocked, which requires completing the game once or getting crafty🤪 with the debug menu or other mods.

Even with those hurdles in mind, it's a neat mod 🃏and was always going to be modded into the game at one point or another. Just make sure you're playing as Joel for the fun of it, and not because of some weird vendett𒉰a against the story.
