One of the tougher bosses you'll fight in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The First Descendant is the Devourer. Tꦐhis Colossus shows up partway through the campaign and must be destroyed to progrౠess through the story. While it doesn't have much health, it can regenerate any lost HP and shields through its enrage mechanic.

The Fi𝄹rst Descendaꩵnt: How To Defeat Dead Bride
Can't beat the Dead Bride in The First D🐲escen♈dant? Here's how to do it right!
Beating this boss will require a good build that enhances your survivability and damage output. Fortunately, it's not difficult to meet the DPS check with the right modules and weapons. Let's go ove🎀r how the Devourer fight works, what it's weak to, and provide some powerful build🍒s that make this Colossus a complete pushover.

This boss is weak to Pierce damage, which includes assault rifles, rocket launchers, handg🐬uns, and beam rifles.
We highly recommend Eternal Willpower for this fight. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:It's an S-tier assault rifle you can find in Agna Desert.
The Devourer is armed with a Toxin arm cannon that deals significant damage with a high chance of inflicting a poison DoT effect. You need to spec for Toxin Resistance, HP, and DEF before you attempt this fight. We recommend leveling Increased HP, Increased HP, and T♐oxin Antibody to R5. If you upgrade your sub module (Shock Fist for most), then you should have enough room to s꧃ocket these modules.
While this boss hits hard, it's actually the weakest Colossi of the bunch from an HP perspective. The Devourer doesn't have much HP and shields, but it can regenerate its HP partway through the fight. You'll need to destroy three canisters when it enrages to end the healing effect. High burst DPS is requ💜ired here. Bring a shotgun, hand cannon, sniper rifle, 🐭or a well-modded Thunder Cage to deal with the canisters. We cover exact builds later in the guide.

Hard mode Devourer is the same fight in almost every way. The boss has more HP and deals more damage, but the mechanics of the fight remain the same. Bring a weapon specced for critical hits and weakpoint damage to melt through the Devourer's HP. If you c🙈an mod your weapons for electric damage, even better.
Paradoxically, the fight is easier solo since the Devourer's HP will be greatly reduced, making it easier to bypass his mechanics 🐟with raw damage output. Playing in a group makes this fight much harder.
Devourer Mechanics
The Devourer is similar to the Executioner fight from the last Void Intercept fight. Most of the Devourer's attacks are ranged projectiles and ground degens. Stay on the move, grapple to cover 🎶if the ground gets covered in poison, and you should be safe for most of the fight.
Aim for the Devourer's knees and sho🔯🎃ulders. They take weakpoint damage from all weapons.
How To Stop The Devourer From Regenerating Health
When the Devourer enrages, it will spawn three canisters on the map that will continuously regenerate the Devourer's HP and shields. If you don't break these canisters fast enꦍough, the Devourer will fully regenerate its HP, making this fight close to impossible. The good news is the HP regeneration effect is quite slow, so yo❀u have some time to break all three canisters without losing much progress.
The canisters will emit a bright green sphere that is impervious to bullets. You must enter the sphere and shoot the canister within. This canister is quite durable🎐, so don't be afraid to use abilities or heavy ammo on it. Destroy one canister, grapple to the next one, and repeat the process. The Devourer will recover less HP with each broken canister. With all three destroyed, it will end its enraged phase.
The Devourer will cal❀l down toxic barrages while enraged. Strafe out of the barrage markers when you can.
Notable Devourer Attacks
There are three attacks you♛'ll want to be wary 🅺of while fighting the Devourer:
- Slam Attack: The Devourer will raise its left arm before slamming the ground, creating a pool of toxin.
- Poison Orbs: The Devourer will slam its hands together and create a barrage of poisonous spheres below it, traveling across the floor.
- Rocket Attack: The Devourer will raise its shoulder flaps and begin firing a barrage of missiles at your location.
Almost all of these attacks can be mitigated with high DEF rating and toxin resistance. For Hard difficulty, you'll want to rely on your grappling hook to avoid most of t♏hese attacks. If you can fight the Devourer from an elไevated position, you won't get hit by most of these attacks.

Th🐬e First Descendant: How To Unlock Ultimate Bunny
Here is every Amor๊phous Material you'll need to unlock Ultimate Bunny in The First Descendant.
Recommended Builds
The Devourer is fairly weak to electric damage, so anything that deals electricity will work well here. You're mostly looking for high burst DPS for this fight. The healing mechanic is a hard DPS check, so if you're not♒ packing enough firepower, you won't be able to clear this. Fortunately, you don'ಞt need much to beat the Devourer solo.
Recommended Gear
- Bunny (Normal): You're guaranteed to get her during the campaign. She clears adds quickly with her third ability, and her ultimate deals great burst DPS while the boss is staggered.
- Lepic (Hard): A good build for his fourth ability can kill Devourer before it enrages.
- Gley (Hard): Gley can give any weapon infinite ammo, making the DPS checks much more lenient.
-
Eternal Willpower: This AR deals pierce damage, which the Devourer is weak to. Mod this for base damage, fire rate, and weakpoint damage.
- You won't have access to electric damage on Normal, so use fire instead.
Normal Mode Build
For our Normal mode clear, we used Bunny with Eternal Willpower and Subconsciousness. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Our Bunny build focuses on survivability above all else, opting to use Increased HP, Increased DEF, and Toxic Antibody to tank the Devourer's attacks. When your HP gets low, play it safe until adds sp꧅awn. Your three will make short work ofꦚ them, spawning HP orbs to refill any lost health.
Eternal Willpower and Subconsciousness both use a fairly straightforward damage build. Rifling Reinforcement scales your base damage, which is then multiplied by Fire Enhancement's bonus damage. You don't have access to electric damage until after you kill Devourer, so you'll need to use fire modules instead. Weak Point Sight greatly improves your damage while shooting the Devourer's knees, and Fire Rate UP buffs your overall DPS.
Hard Mode Build
We prefer using Gley with Thunder Cage and Vestigial Organ for Hard mode clears. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gley is a powerhouse with a high durat💯ion 🦩build. We still focus on survivability first, but we use our remaining module capacity on Skill Extension and Maximize Duration. With some🔜 cooldown reduction modules equipped, you can cast your third ability mo🃏st of the time, granting your guns infinite ammo.
You don't need 7,800 toxic resistance for this fight. A single affix on your processor is more than ♒enough. Just be sure to scale your HP and DEF rating.
This is why we build Vestigial Organ for raw burst DPS. Fire Rate UP is something you usually don't put on a launcher, but when you have infi🅰nite ammo, this is a straight damage buff for us. Raw damage scaling and electric damage should melt through the Devourer quickly. If you need more damage, ♏throw on any modifiers to weakpoint damage.
Thunder Cage is built similarly. Critical damage, fire rate, and base damage are all you need to make this weapon a viable DPS primary. If your Gley can achieve full uptime on her infinite ammo buff, then you might want to consider throwing on Mental Focus for a massive ATK bonus to your Thunder Cage.
Tips To Defeat Devourer
- Stay on the move. If the ground is covered in toxin, grapple to another location.
- Bring Bunny. Her third ability is fantastic for killing the adds during this fight, making it easy to heal and restore ammo.
- Bring a shotgun. A good shotgun like In a Blink can make short work of the canisters.
- Mod your weapons. The Devourer is a hard DPS check. If you're struggling, mod your weapons for ATK power, fire or electric damage, and weakpoint damage.
