Provided you haven't added any mods or extra content to the game, Skyrim offers roughly 100 spells to choose from. Divided into five different "schools" of magic, Alteration, Destruction, Restoration, Illusion, and Conjuration, you'll easily find your favorite "flavors" of the arcane as you explore each spell category.
Destruction and Conjuration spells are likely the most used and popular among players; who doesn't like summoning Daedra and shooting fire, ice, or lightning from their hands? 9 Muffle
Muffle is a useful spell for any build that falls under the Illusion school of magic. While the spell's description says it allows you to move more quietly for three minutes, you're basically silent, regardless of what gear or armor you're rocking.
The Spell Tome for Muffle is sold by a variety of merchants, including but not limited to Calcelmo in Markarth, Drevis Neloren at the College ofᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Winterhold, and Farengar Secret-Fire in Dragonsreach. As a bonus, this effect can also be enchanted onto boots and shoes.
8 Call Toꦫ Arms 💝
Call to Arms is an Illusion spell that can be cast on various targets, allowing them to fight better and have improved health and stamina for a rather lengthy ten minutes. Obviously, this is best used on your followers, ✅but can also be used on Stormcloaks or Imperials depending on which side you like best.
The Spell Tome for Call to Arms is only sold by Drevis Neloren at the College of Winterhold. Before you can buy it from him, though, you'll need to reach level 90 Illusion and complete the Illusion Ritual Spell for him.
7 Courage
Courage is a relatively cheap and accessible Illusion spell that prevents allies from fleeing and gives them some extra health and stam𝓀ina for almost a minute. The spell is considered Novice and has a base cost of 39 mana.
You can either find Courage's Spell Tome at Treva's Watch southeast of Ivarstead, or purchase it from a variety of vendors, such as Falion in Morthal, Madena in Dawnstar, or Nelacar at the College of Winterhold. If you wanted to, you could also have the spell stored in a Staff of Courage.
6 Transmute
Transmute is a fun, Adept level Alteration spell that will likely make you feel like you're casting High Level Alchemy in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Runescape.
For the cost of some mana, you can turn iron ore into silver, and silver ore into gold. Pro-tip, just use the "w𓆏aiting" function to refill your mana.
The Spell Tome itself is actually called Tღransmute Mineral Ore, and it cannot be bought. To find it, you can either travel to the i𒅌nnermost parts of the Ansilvund Burial Chambers north of Riften or head over to Halted Stream Camp and enter the mine below.
5 ꦑ Summon Arvak
Summon Arvak is an Apprentice level Conjuration spell that is a part of the Dawnguard DLC. While Arvak isn't as impressive as Shadowmere in terms of raw health and stamina stats, this trusty and convenient steed can be summoned anywhere, anytime.
When you end up in the Soul Cairn during the Dawnguard quest line, you'll happen upon an unnamed soul that will ask you to find Arvak's skull. Go east from the front gate of the boneyard. Once you grab the skull, the unnamed soul will teach you how to summon Arvak.
4 ꦍ Greater Wa𝄹rd
Greater Ward is an Adept level Restoration spell that increases your armor rating, and negates damage, by 8🍸0 points. While weaker, introductory wards were likely laughed off by most♌ players, this spell is actually quite strong, as long as you have the mana for it.
Colette Marence, a mage at the College of Winterhold, is the only vendor that sells the Spell Tome for Greater Ward. Before she can sell it to you, you'll need to reach level 90 Restoration and complete the Restoration Ritual Spell.
3 Bound Bow
Bound Bow is a real, "bang for your buck" Adept level Conjuration spell. When cast, you'll be granted a semitransparent, Daedric-looking bow for two minutes.
The best part? You can fire an unlimited amount of arrows, which pop out of thin air, for as long as the spell's duration.
Bound Bow's Spell Tome can either be found in Fort Amol Prison, which is northwest of Darkwater Crossing, or it can be bought from Calcelmo in Understone Keep, Falion in Morthal, or Phinis Gestor at the College of Winterhold.
2 Paralyze
While Paralyze is 🔴more of a late-game Alteration spell, it is well worth becoming an Expert in this school of magic. If you hit a target that fails to resist this spell, it will lock up and fall to the grou🦩nd, completely helpless for ten seconds.
The Spell Tome for Paralyze can only be purchased from Tolfdir, the Alteration teacher at the College of Winterhold. Just make sure you have a decent amount of gold on you or extra stuff to sell; Master level spells aren't exactly cheap.
1 Stendarr's Aura
Stendarr's Aura is an Adept level Restoration spell unique to the Dawnguard DLC. While it has a pretty high mana cost, it lasts for one minute, causing ten points of damage per second to the undead that are within melee range, equating to a max possible output of 600 damage per minute!
You can only purchase the Spell Tome for Stendarr's Aura from Florentius Baenius, the priest of Arkay with brown robes found at Fort Dawnguard. Keep in mind, he won't be at the fort until you rescue him from Ruunvald Temple during the Bolstering the Ranks quest.
